I won't be coming back to OfficeMax ever again after my experience tonight.
On 6/3/24, I went here to make TWO copies of a one page document on some card stock 8.5x11. As I walked in, the dude working in the print area was chatting it up with one of the female employees. Clearly, he wasn't busy since I was the only person in the store. As I got to the counter, the female left, and the dude behind the counter asked how he could help. I asked him if he could please make two copies (2 pages) of the one page document I brought with me. Rather than just make the copies, he immediately asked me when I wanted to pick the copies up tomorrow. Shocked by this, I explained that I only needed two copies. All of a sudden, the dude started acting like he was too busy to make the copies. He said they were closing in 5 minutes and that he wouldn't be able to do them the night I was there.
In the time it took him to pretend he was busy all of a sudden and explained that they were closing in 5 minutes, he could have made the two copies. They keep card stock in those machines regularly in one of the other trays. So it's not like he had to do much prep work before making the copies. It would have taken him one minute, maybe a minute and a half, to make the two copies. I told him to forget about it, and then he told me that if I needed the copies, I could find the card stock I needed and make my own copies. I didn't know they closed at 7 pm. Its not like i intentionally went there knowing they were closing in 5 minutes. What kind of office supply store closes at 7 on a weeknight??
I've been here before in the evenings and have never run into this kind of problem or sorry excuse. It's not like I had a big job to do or anything. I just needed two copies. I understand that when you're done with work for the day, you just want to go home. But rather than just make two copies, the dude wanted to act all busy, refuse to help me, and lost a customer. I know I'm just one person, but I won't be giving them any more of...
Read moreNot very impressed. Twice now I've walked into the Pocatello store looking to buy office furniture and I'm either ignored or completely forgotten. The first time I went to pickup an online order and the guy disappeared in the back and never came out. After 10 minutes I asked someone else where my item was and they had no idea and when I mentioned that someone had gone to get it they said he had left for lunch. So I guess when the guy couldn't find the order rather than come back out and let me know he just leaves for lunch. The next time I go in I need a chair. I walk to the furniture section and no one is interested in helping me so I go to the front desk where I'm ignore again. Literally 5 after 5 minutes of no one offering to help me I turn around and there's someone helping another customer (who came in later) in the furniture area. Finally, I asked out loud if anyone was going to help me or if I had to find and ring up the purchase myself. The manager shows up and apologizes saying this (being ignore) never happens. When I'm back a little over a year later needing more officer furniture and guess what, I'm ignored again. You know I figured the first couple of times was a misunderstanding on the employee's part but once again I wait for ten minutes at the counter after waiting in the furniture section just to be ignored again and then finally see an employee helping a different customer who again arrived after me. So what is it. You only help women and ignore men? I'm not dressed like a bum and I drive a reasonable expensive vehicle so I'm sure I don't look like someone without money. Apparently, your employees are either too lazy to do their job or extremely biased against certain customers for some unknown reason.
You can be sure of one thing. I won't bother shopping at Office Max and I'll be posting this story to multiple social networking sites. No one should be treated like they...
Read moreI went to office max in Pocatello Idaho to have something printed out, the lady That was working in print was extremely professional and very nice and very helpful . The print was gonna take a couple hours to be completed so I left and when I came back To pick it up, I asked the front cashiers if they could run back and see if it was ready And if it was, if they would please bring it to me cause I’ve already paid for it. I am having health issues and this is something personal, but I did let them know that the reason why I needed their help was because I wasn’t feeling good at the time well one of the workers there his name is Joe. He was extremely rude about it he walked back, asked if it was ready. Then he walked back up to me and said yes it’s ready. You’ll have to walk back and get it then we asked him to go back and if he could get it for us and he actually threw a little tantrum and was extremely rude when he gave it to me I said thank you so much for getting this for me and the reason why I needed your help was because of this in this night, he rolled his eyes his shoulders made a grunt and was extremely rude and walked away did not say anything to me, But made it very clear that he could care less and that he was very annoyed that he had to go back and get that for me his name is Joe and he is extremely unprofessional and extremely rude to...
