Worse than worthless. My 25 year old GE refrigerator was not cooling properly and I noticed frost on the back wall of the freezer. I looked in the manual and saw how the cold air was suppose to flow. I guessed that the cold air flow was blocked. Based on that I removed the back panel of the freezer and discovered that the freezer coils were totally covered with ice. I melted the ice off the coils and called AA for a repair. It worked fine for a few days but by the time the repair kid arrived the coils were frozen again. He just used a steam gun to defrost them again and charged me $142 bucks. He did nothing to determine why the defrost cycle was not working. I pointed out the defrost heaters and asked him if those were the defrost heaters (I already knew they were) and he gave me a mumbled reply that indicated that he had no idea. After waiting a few days for further action and again having to defrost again. I called AA to complain. A few days later another "repair man" arrived and did nothing but take down the part numbers listed on my owners manual. He said he would see if the necessary parts were available and get back to me. As soon as.he left I went online and determined that the likely parts were available. After not hearing back for s week I ordered the defrost heater assembly, defrost timer and temperature control. A couple of days later they arrived and I first replaced the heater assembly determining that an element was burned out. I then replaced the defrost timer and temperature control units, total cost about $40 bucks. Refrigerator has been working fine again, no thanks to AA...
Read moreI was in contact with Stewart for repairs to my washing machine. He quoted me $79 to come out and assess the problem.
Robert came out to see what parts were needed for repair (He is knowledgeable, kind person). He was at my home, a one minute drive from this business, no more than 10 minutes. He told me it would be $140 for him to install the part.
A week later, when the part was being installed, another part needed to be replaced. (There were no other used machines available at the shop, then.) Total bill to fix cost me $259 with parts.
Following this episode, the washer still was not working correctly.
Robert made a quick stop by, and said that the part that was most likely the problem, was expensive. We decided not to pour any more money back into this old washing machine (that I had originally purchased at A&A).
Stewart told me they would only give 50% back on the dollars I had spent thus far, to purchase a used machine (they now had five used washing machines available).
I agreed to purchase a used Whirlpool for $269. With delivery charge ($50) and tax, the investment in my "new" used washing machine cost me $444. It is now leaking....!
They took my old machine back. No doubt with my new parts installed, they will fix, and resell.
Don't believe time frames they give you if they say they will be back in contact with you. It does not happen.
Guess what? Costco has a new Samsung washer for $450! If only I...
Read moreI would give 10 stars if I could! I called Robert at A&A on Monday, desperate for help after waiting THREE weeks for a part I had ordered and prepaid through A&E - a repair service with a name that sounds very similar to A&A, but is NOTHING like it. I was fed up to the point of just giving up and buying a new fridge, even though mine is only 3 years old. I had read good reviews for A&A, and wanted to know what brands they would recommend. When I explained my situation, Robert asked for the part number for the fan I had been unable to obtain. In one minute he located the part at 3 different distributors and quoted me a price FIFTY dollars less than what I had prepaid to the previous company with no results! He ordered the part, received it in 2 days, as he had promised, and sent Stuart, a very capable employee, to our home the next morning to repair our fridge. A&A has my...
