I was curious to try, I genuinely was since I drove by frequently drive by on the few times I'm home. I read the reviews beforehand and was curious to try a alt made doughnut.
I come in and wait looking at the selection and trying to figure out what's good and while people complain about the price I felt that sometimes you can pay more to do different.
Sadly, I was denied it. As the employee instead felt it was fun to mock my speech impediment repeatedly.
I apologize I was born with one due to my nurologocal disorder. I felt like instead of flipping out or yelling or raging. That it was best to just leave and not deal with people who are prejudiced against me.
I spent my life with this speech impediment, I cannot change it and it's hindered me from so many things and hurts my confidence.
I feel dudes as a company "Doesn't feel that way all are welcome infact our _ is/has __!"
Usually when I give a bad review it's due to bad food, poor service, but rarely I give one due to prejudice and prejudice alone which breaks my heart.
I suggest that perhaps your employees should maybe in the future not degrade the disabled with also making deaf jokes. Especially when they have deaf parents.
I will likely never set foot in there nor suggest this place to anyone unless they got a gluten, dairy, or strictly vegan needs. I feel no actions are needed to be taken against them but that I am reminded that ablist...
Read moreThis place serves gluten free and vegan donuts in 6 flavors that rotate each month. They are all baked, not fried.
We tried all 6 flavors this month and they were all good. However, the texture is a bit like you're eating a muffin in a donut shape with frosting on top. To be fair, they were all moist and there was nothing dry or crumbly about them, which is a point in their favor.
The flavors came mostly from the toppings and some of them just tasted like sweet with a super faint flavor. They could have umphed the flavor a bit on them so the donut didn't overpower the topping.
It would be nice if they made fried donuts in addition to the baked ones, but that's a tall dream that I haven't been able to find anywhere else so I can't blame them.
Overall, tasty donuts but nothing that makes me really excited about them. Good but...
Read moreThis is an amazing local business to support. The donuts are gluten free and vegan, so they aren't your typical donut if you are expecting a standard donut. They have unique flavors and change some of the specials each month. The greatest part of this place though is honestly the people. My daughter has FPIES and will end up in the hospital if she has Egg, and when I asked to confirm that these are in fact vegan, the lady helping me assured me that there don't even allow egg in their kitchen at all. So there's not even a risk at all. They are SO sweet here and just the absolute best. I love that my daughter can safely try any of their donuts and I feel safe letting her.
Make sure to check...
