I present you one of my favorite places in the whole PNW to grab delicous food such as chicken sandwhich, lemon tart, chocolate and hazelnut bread, chocolate croissant, soft cinnamon roll (maple bacon ome is soooo good), bacon covered in daek chocolate, tons of different cheesecakes and chocolates, and refreshing ice cream and sorbet all year long. Carter and Company is located in Port Orchard (waterfront), next to many nice stores, so dont forget to walk around after visiting. 🚶‍♀️🚶🛍️ Carter also offer catering and online ordering! They are LGBTQ + owned and a 100% inclusive business 🏳️‍🌈 Not super far from Tacoma, or Seattle if you take the ferry. For me, it’s always worth the visit! 📲Follow me to see what we actually ordered on our last visit (spoiler: christmas cookies included) and come say hello when I go live! #pnweats #washingtoncheck #seattlefoodie #lgbtqownedbusiness #portorchard #livecreator

What an awful response from I’m guessing the owner. You can’t be passive aggressive, unprofessional and accusatory to a long term customer. I know how to communicate effectively. I brought the brioche up to mention the rind(awful texture), then after the masked person said nothing, I said you can have it. I definitely don’t need a lesson on communication, but by the looks of your response, you definitely need to work on efficiency communicating with the customer. Clearly you’re lacking in that part. And then come back and try to make good. I like Brie (duh) that’s why I ordered it. Some textures are weird to me. I don’t need ed a lesson on Brie cheese. I will share our experience here and the owners response. It’s very clear why the owner has a high turnover rate. We won’t be returning. We usually love this place. I guess desperate times call for desperate measures. The employees working this morning couldn’t be less friendly. No smile, no greeting, but the first one was nosey enough to ask what we were talking about. What?! We all ordered. The one I chose was the ham and Brie brioche. Eww I kept tasting something strange. Whoever made these didn’t take the rind off the cheese. Yuck! Double yuck. I brought it in only to have to say hello after standing there for 2 minutes. A person in a beanie and mask came out. I shared the issue with them. They looked at me then the plate. I said you can have it, not good. Pretty poor customer service, and poor product.

I've been here several times and plan to continue coming here for all my dessert needs! I absolutely LOVE their mini cheesecakes. If you love or even just like cheesecake, I recommend their minis! I've tried the caramel, Bailey's Irish cream, cherry, blueberry, and white chocolate & vanilla mini cheesecakes so far and have been 100% satisfied! I plan to try them all truly! They have plenty more there too, including their deep dish cookies. How insanely good does that sound? There's even savory food items that are equally incredible! All of their everything is just so delicious and I know no matter which menu item I choose it won't be the wrong one here! Definitely: Try. This. Place.

Came here on a drizzly Sunday afternoon after a disappointing lunch at a restaurant nearby. This place really improved my mood. It's a really nice little shop, neat and clean, and smelled amazing as soon as we walked in. We were mesmerized by all of the delicious looking chocolates, cakes and cookies. While the employee helped another customer we decided on all of the things we wanted to try. My favorite ice cream flavor is pistachio and when we saw it on the menu, I decided I had to try it. I can say, it's the best pistachio ice cream I've ever had. It wasn't the typical green color that all other places feel the need to color it, and it had huge pistachios mixed into it. The perfect balance of salt and sweet. There was a place back in my home town I've been missing, but Carter's is actually better. This ice cream really tastes like home made ice cream. It has that mouth feel you only get from home made ingredients. Though, I'm not sure what machines they use to actually make the ice cream, it almost had that consistency of ice cream that comes out of the old hand crank machines our parents would let us take out and use every summer. My son got to try a few flavors, and they give you a full size real spoon full of ice cream, as opposed to the little wooden paddle or tiny pink baby spoon at chain stores when you want to sample flavors.

The chocolate clusters we tried were also very good, and we got something called a deep dish cookie which is like a cookie baked into a brownie. It was all VERY good. I don't think this place is too expensive at all for what it is and the insanely awesome high quality, and am confused by the reviewer who said they paid something like $14 for her two kid's ice cream, when we paid $14 for chocolates, a huge cookie and two ice cream cones. They are also very generous with their scoops on the cones as well, so you really do get your money's worth.

The young man working the counter was really friendly and helpful and knowledgeable of all the flavors. He was super courteous. It's always refreshing to be helped by someone who doesn't really have to be friendly, but chooses to be friendly anyway.

All in all, it's a great place, with great candies, cookies, cakes and ice cream. We plan on coming here a lot more often, considering how close it is to the foot ferry. Even on a cold blustery day, this place really hits the spot and will put you in a great mood and make you think of the ice cream...

Exquisite Delights at Carter's Chocolates, Port Orchard!

I just had to take a moment to rave about my recent visit to Carter's Chocolates in Port Orchard. A bustling establishment in the heart of town, Carter's Chocolates is a must-visit spot for any self-proclaimed sweet tooth.

From the moment I stepped into the shop, I was swept up in the intoxicating aroma of sweet cocoa and other sugary confections. Despite the considerable crowd, a testament to their popularity, the atmosphere remained vibrant and warm, creating a wonderfully inviting ambiance.

The star of my visit, however, was undeniably their legendary Brickleberry Ice Cream. It was my first encounter with this particular flavor, and I can confidently assert that it won't be my last! A heavenly blend of toffee crunch bits (the 'brickle') swirled into a velvety berry-infused cream base, every spoonful was an orchestra of flavor. The balance between the tartness of the berries and the sweet, slightly salty crunch of toffee was impeccably executed, a demonstration of the craftmanship that Carter's Chocolates invests in their products.

And, even though the place was humming with customers on my visit, I was genuinely impressed with how efficient and prompt the service was. The staff managed the busy rush with professionalism and poise, ensuring that everyone was attended to quickly without compromising on the quality of service. Their commitment to their customers shone through, making the overall experience even more enjoyable.

In a nutshell, Carter's Chocolates of Port Orchard is a sweet haven where quality and customer satisfaction converge. The exceptional Brickleberry Ice Cream, the bustling but friendly atmosphere, and the top-tier service are indicative of their dedication to the art of chocolate and ice cream making.

So, next time you find yourself in Port Orchard, don't forget to stop by Carter's Chocolates. Your sweet tooth...

I ordered a graduation cake for my wife’s college graduation party. I ordered a white cake with buttercream frosting with maroon and gold writing. I received a cake that was yellow and once we ate the cake at the party we found out that it was lemon. No one ate any of the cake at the party and it completely ruined our experience. Not only that, but we had to call several times in order to receive a refund and the bakery gave us a hard time when asking for a refund. Not only did they refuse to make the cake correctly, but they were also incredibly disrespectful in their approach at handling this situation.

We were given a refund for the cake, despite there typically only being a gift card reimbursement, which we appreciated. However, it still made our experience much less than satisfactory.

If you have an important event and it is vital that you have the right cake, I would recommend taking your business to a different bakery. I am very disappointed with our experience.

Update after reply from the owner

I definitely asked for a specific cake of white cake with buttercream frosting (which is my wife’s favorite) and the description of color and “ASU Grad 2022” was relayed as well. Where I may have gone wrong was asking for the person assisting me to repeat it.

The details I gave in all phone calls and the review were consistent and based the experience we had. The claims about my inaccuracy and inconsistency are unbiased and I am not sure where the confusion lies.

And no, I do not regret saying the company “refused to make the...
