Cramped, dirty, overpriced.
The first few times I ever came here I was in awe. It was packed full of stuff and it felt like I could find so many treasures placed around.
The more I go, the more I hate it. It’s always filthy and completely disorganized. Today when I visited however, it almost looked like half their items had been removed. For the first time in over a year- EVERY item was viewable. Before you’d literally have to dig through things, which again, is cool at first but gets very tiresome after a while.
The tags are stapled into the linens and clothing. Housewares and anything else have the pricing WRITTEN on it in very hard to remove ink. I’ve gotten two items I had to throw away because they wrote on the wood and it stained it. Absolutely stupid.
Deals and prices never make sense.
The no backpack rule is absolutely ridiculous. I wear a very small backpack as a purse, it’s a little leather one. Today when I visited, a woman came toward me as I was standing in the aisle and shoved into me. I assumed she was just a rude customer- nope. She was obviously an employee because she then looked at me and said “we don’t allow backpacks it’ll need to go in your car.” I told her it had my wallet in it, so no way and I left. The most amusing part? The girl checking out at the register when I entered had a cute little corduroy backpack on. Clearly nothing was said to her.

Read moreI have mixed feelings now. When I moved here 9 months ago this place was a gem: never too crowded, fun deals that changed daily, and consistent low prices. There was no overt organization or high standards of cleanliness, but that honestly came with the location and affordability. I loved it and I literally went every weekend. But they seemed to have made some very big policy changes recently. You can't bring your bags in to the store anymore. I was "subtly" followed around by multiple employees while I browsed. I can understand wanting to crack down on petty theft- but you straight up made me feel paranoid, and I was a paying customer. The prices are very inconsistent now too. They range from vaguely affordable to really, really stupid. The place seems to have gotten a bit more popular so I guess I can understand trying to capitalize on that. But even the broken snowglobe I tried to purchase had THREE different prices on it. When I asked which was the real price, I was told it was the most expensive one, the crossed out number of course. But who would pay 14 dollars for a broken snowglobe? It just made me sad. If you catch this store on a day with good deals, I'd still give it a recommendation. I feel like you can still try to find some good deals if you're patient. And please be nice to the...
