Glass House Tavern — Restaurant in Portland

The Glasshouse Tavern located at 9710 NE Sandy Blvd, Portland, OR 97220 is just past the Multnomah Pioneer Cemetary,,and is right next to Jim Dandys old fashioned hamburger joint. The Rodeway Inn is directly across the street from The Glasshouse Tavern as well. The Glashouse Tavern is a super cool place to hang out play pool or Oregon Lottery games, with a full bar, and a light menu to peruse for late night snackers and those who enjoy appetizers with their spirits of choice. They have a decent selection of standard, local and imported beers to coose from! The bartenders are very friendly, and the jukebox is always going, which always makes the environment cheery, and upbeat! Like most taverns, the ambience and regulars most certainly make up for this pint-sized bar! Stopped in at this bar one night thinking we would put $20 in V.P.. Well it was 10:23pm, 3 machines were in use & the rest available so i went toward one and the bartender approached it as i did & was pulling the chair away from the machine so i ask "Can i play this one"? She says " no were closing" & went & turned the machine off & left the chair far from the machine. I was quite surprised since they stay open til 11pm & thats also what time VP stops right now due to covid. There was the 3 people gambling & 5 to 8 people still sitting up at the bar drinking and socializing. Wth? I wont be returning to this place any time soon. If i was the owner i would be upset if my employees were turning away paying customers. My husband & I are great tippers & its her loss more than mine Im sure. The only thing that I can say is that the best way to find out what discrimination is, Is to be in the presence of the bartender and I do mean discriminate against any and all traveling and/Or homeless people who happen to want to be able to play a little bit of video poker/slots, she's a bit too much for myself and my wife. Very Rude and disrespectful to the point of talking with the management about her refusing to serve you even though I have a up to date Or....
