Great Camping along the MyersCorp fence-line, but set up early to claim anything close. Forget the spots against the fence, for many years each has enjoyed a waiting line full of top PDX camping legends, take it from me, you ain't got a chance. Another tip for you MF-line seekers is... Up with the Sun! Sure there's plenty of room for you and your peeps along the wide path. And you can't believe it's after sunset and not one camper has claimed any of it. That's because the local Powell Park regulars know that the guy that aims the sprinklers in the ballpark, hates that the big tent & sleeping bag makers keep getting away with calling their cheap stuff water resistant, and the average 1st time tent buyer falls for their lies. They seem to have been successful in discouraging the camping that use to happen frequently. For a highly used park on an incredibly busy street it isn't a such a bad spot. I would not, however, visit it if I wasn't already in the neighborhood. It isn't a...

It really bothers me that this is a place for kids, next to a high school and I see drug use, discarded needles, and people who think this is their own trash dump!
Not a great park but it does seem to be the norm for the inner...
