I have been here several times in the past and had a good experience. However,on this trip I was there with my 89year old father and my son.We had parked on the side of the building and approached thru the patio area.It was very hot outside that day so I had my father immediately sit at ome of the tables in the shade. It just so happened that the table hadn't been cleaned yet.So we gathered all the dishes and put them on the end. While we were doing that their was a waiter walking around the area who saw us. He did and said nothing. Within several minutes of arriving and after getting my fatber situated I walked inside the establishment...just to see that SAME waiter looking back.I proceeded to say how we had sat ourselves and was just there to let someone know we were outside. This waiter used his best condescending voice he could muster and told me that he would be out waiter outside and next time to "please remember to come inside FIRST and check in Before sitting ourselves" SERIOUSLY? This was the same waiter who saw my father limping up to the table when we arrived. Didn't say a word to us. Didn't clear the table with his empty hands as he was just walking around area. And then you talk to me like I'm 5? We asked to be seated someplace else as I didn't want his rude behavior and lack of professionalism to ruin my meal with my father and son. He placed us in the bar.Not sure why the other side wasn't offered to us as their was seating(even with social distancing) Ordering thru the app is almost impossible. Placed order at the bar thru bartender.Food arrived quickly and was prepared properly. Please just give a lil empathy training to your staff.Had I been alone I would of gone over some notes to help remind him how the bulk of his monies comes from tips and he shouldn't be so crass and heartless to people. He wore a bandana with skulls and red flowers on it.Very bushy red curly hair. No name tag..not a surprise with...
Read moreI was hesitant before in giving a review especially 5 stars because of some customer service issues that I had seen, but now that I have been a regular customer every Wednesday, I am forced to leave a review because the staff is so great and the customer service/employee morale has increased 10 fold. The servers are freaking awesome and just so helpful, they are happy to see us even though we have a little. This is our weekly Wednesday stop because not only do they have great deals and such a good happy hour, but because they have a $5 kids meal every Wednesday. And they have not one, but TWO kids sections for the littles to hangout at, while the adults get work done, chat, catch up, eat & drink, etc. Why more businesses don’t do this, baffles me! I absolutely love the service here, the food is always on point, the drinks are great, the price is right, and the service is wonderful. They also have such a great loyalty program, I feel like I am rolling in the points and $$$ off each time I visit. Big shout out to the servers Heather and Jordan for making every visit here a great one! Y’all are rockstars and a huge part of why I keep coming back. Thank you for all your hard work and being so great at your jobs! All in all, my favorite place to go with kiddos on a weekday and probably in general. The only downside is I wish I...
Read moreHopworks made for a very pleasant lunch destination - the permeable surface in their parking lot made an immediate favorable impression. I'm more than 40 years away from qualifying for their lowest priced special for nearby high school students, but they have an excellent variety of other lunch specials - most involving combinations of pizza, salads, and beverages with or without alcohol. I went with the 1/2 grinder and a salad, which turned out to be the perfect amount of food for me. One of the people in our group had a salad and elected to try their meatless chicken option, and was very impressed - I'm thinking of trying it on my next visit. Possibly my favorite part of my most recent visit was the smell... between beer being brewed, and an indication that some of their breads are baked in house, it was a very pleasant wait while our food was being prepared. The only letdown for me was that I didn't think the bread was a perfect match for my grinder's contents. The bread seemed drier and chewier than I was expecting. The quality of the pizza was fine, but this location has some strong competition surrounding it on Division, Foster, and Gladstone that keep it from being what I would consider a true pizza destination. But if beer is your goal, I can recommend Hopworks...
