I can’t say enough how amazing this place is! Steven (or Stephen?) and Ken are the best. I found this place when I moved to Portland and keep coming back. I usually only ever collected and read Flash comics from the 60s-80s and found myself branching out here. They recommend the best comics, based off what you know you already love or just recommend good stuff in general. Happy I found this place, if you’re reading this, this is your sign to go in. They also have a program that’s I recently joined which has been awesome.

The most amazing customer service I have ever experienced. Moses did a phenomenal job explaining different comics and was so patient with me being naive, asking a lot of questions, and being a general noob. I came in to buy a "first-comic" for my nephew and he was so helpful with his recommendations and explanations. I will definitely be back for the few things I found for myself and encourage everyone to come in and look around and ask questions! I guarantee you'll find something you like!

Fantastic store. My first time in and will definitely be back. Great $1 bins and a TON of collected sets for very reasonable prices. The staff member was super friendly and knowledgeable- I asked a couple of questions about some comics I had never seen before and he hopped on the internet and looked up the info on the spot. A great little neighborhood too, with a couple of cool restaurants and others shops. Great find, will for sure go back.

Predatory buying practices. The obvious argument is ^well, if you didn't like the offer, you didn't have to take it. " Granted, that is a fact, but when a person is hard up enough to sell a collection they have had for 25 years for car repairs, then their hand is kind of forced. The owner cherry picked the best comics from the collection, then made an offer that was FAR below market value, claiming the comics were in such horrible shape. He also stated that Superman takes a very long time to sell yet proceeded to buy nearly every vintage Superman that i had. I was very unhappy with the deal but didn't really have a choice as I needed to be able to commute to work. It would sicken me to see how many times he multiplied his offer from the comics he bought. Will say the man was professional. Would not recommend trying to sell comics here. Had a better experience at cosmic monkey. Also, something to keep in mind if you're selling comics to a comic shop: if you get 25% of fair market value, you are EXTREMELY lucky as it is FAR more likely to receive an offer between 5-10% of FMV. If you are not in dire need, you are much better off trying to sell direct to the collector via online outlets if you have the means to sit on them for a while. Just speaking...

Fanstastic store. Clean , well lit and the prices were pretty fair. The guy working the desk was newish, and so didn't know a ton about the books, but was helpful and pointed me towards anything I had questions on. The boxes had some great finds including old (60's/70's) Teen Titans which are hard to find. Additionally I don't think I've been in a store in a while with such good quality of books. Found a couple books on the wall that were in spectacular (9.0+ shape). Only thing I'd recommend is definitely take your app of choice in there to check prices. Most of the books were within "range" for what you could find them for, but I did find a couple more than 20%-25%% over going prices via Key Collector and GOCollect. I did also find a few 10-15% under price in the boxes, so shop smart. Overall, great store and will shop there again! ...

I went to this establishment with my kids, for my kids, we were super excited to be in a different part of town and at a comic shop. However, it kind of felt like we had wondered into a house with tons of awesome content but not a friendly neighborhood to ask questions or treat us with any sort of customer service etiquette. We were never greeted and that's a pet peeve of mine, I usually just leave a place who is unable to greet customers, yet that would have been devastating for my kids. We made our purchase and left, hopefully others have had better experiences that mine. Hopefully it wasn't because of my skin color, hopefully she was having a bad day and not just a bad employee. We won't be...
