We made key errors for what should have been an excellent night. 1) We arrived 10 minutes before show started so had no view of the stage. Arrive at least 60 minutes early. 2) We thought we would just buy dinner here. My wife joined the line at 6:55 PM. It's now 8 and she's still waiting. Pack your dinner. So, while I've been hanging around waiting to help her carry all the food back to our grandkids, I've photographed stunning flower gardens and snapped some of the stage. So, this review is only 3 stars but that's our own fault. It seems to be an excellent production, the sound is good, the stage design is awesome. We are just so far back that we are disconnected. Next time we will know and be smarter about things. What a gorgeous setting!

The Prescott Park Arts Festival is pure summertime magic in Portsmouth! šŸŽšŸŽ¶šŸŒø Every visit feels like stepping into a vibrant community celebration, with incredible live music, theater, and movies under the stars—all set against the stunning waterfront backdrop of the Piscataqua River. The atmosphere is welcoming, family-friendly, and full of joy, with people of all ages relaxing on blankets, enjoying picnics, and sharing in the arts. I love that the festival runs on a suggested donation, making world-class performances accessible to everyone. From the beautiful gardens to the outstanding talent on stage, every moment here feels special. A true Portsmouth gem and a must-experience event every summer!

The essential Portsmouth experience. The energy is amazing when everyone gathers around these amazing shows right by the river, and it just feels so special. The actors were all wonderful, there was plenty of food and drinks available as well as seating, the sound design was perfect (easy to clearly hear whereas it's sometimes difficult with indoor venues) and it was just a fantastic experience. Even though it did rain halfway through (no one's fault there) they were super accommodating with helping us with options afterwards. Highly recommended.

I have a had horrible time happen here and wonderful ones too. Many memories made. Ok concert venue. They are just getting OSHA safe with all the blue shirts maintaining the walkways.

2 Because that one time when everyone rushed the stage they kicked all the blankets up and push you out of a view. I just had surgery and couldn’t stand. People were crazy aggressive.

Front row spot is so useless because you end up look at peoples butt’s in your face. And when you complain they give you the finger. Management couldn’t care less.

Now management has...
