Canine Cupboard — Local services in Portsmouth

My husband and I were on vacation,and of course the most important part of our trip is scoping out the pet stores to bring gifts home to our fur babies.We have 2 English bulldogs,my girl is a SUPER picky eater when it comes to her treats,but when I see fresh treats,I can’t help but buy them,even though she probably won’t eat them.We bought a few of each kind of treat in the case,and I cannot believe it,but she ate EVERY SINGLE KIND!This might not seem like a very big deal to most ppl,but it is to us!So the treats they have are definitely picky dog approved! And not to mention,they were so cute! We also bought the natural dog company skin soother wipes and they cleaned their wrinkles so well! If you have a dog that’s prone to tear stains,you know how hard it is to find a good wipe for their wrinkles that really work.these wipes were a good price,they were tough enough to clean well,but not so tough that it hurt their skin.and the wipes were actually wet! I’ve bought quite a few expensive wipes,only to open them and find them completely dried out.im pretty impressed with this little pup store! They had cute little games that you don’t see in the big company stores,lots of toys,and the gentleman that cashed us out was really nice too!I wish we lived closer so we could keep supporting this small business,but we will be sure to return here when we go on...

Been here several times while visiting Portsmouth.. Cute selection but owner seems like he is indifferent if you purchase from him. The customer service or zeal for customers is non existent. Stop by with me two dog, found out they don’t open till noon, came back at noon no one there, came back at 12:10 the owner shows up as we were leaving he was with his dog. He would have just let us turn and walk away, little in difference if we came in or not. My dogs were excited to see his dog so it was a bit chaotic as he came in. I explained that I would come back once he settled in. He looked at me didn’t say a word and ushered his dog in. Portsmouth local here, and I’m not one to review places but this store is a must. My wife and I just recently got a pup, and Bill there has been extremely helpful and knowledgeable. It’s very evident the owners of this store are very enthusiastic and are happy to take their time walking you through every question you might have.
