In January of last year my husband came here with our son and explained that our son was participating in a charity event in another state. The charity was paying for tuxedos to be rented in the other state, but needed measurements of my son. The other shop explained that most tuxedo shops will do measurements as an industry courtesy, and that popping in for a few measurements is a piece of cake.
NOT WITH THIS SHOP. The owner couldn't have been less interested in helping us. The owner was nice enough when my husband and son first walked in, but became dismissive once he realized all he was doing was "free" measurements. He flat out ignored my family for 10 minutes after someone else walked in. Once he measured my son, the owner then wrote down incomplete measurements, so I had to go back a few days later to get that missing measurement and had an even worse experience with this guy. He was very dismissive and condescending when I explained that the other shop needed one more measurement. I felt like I had to practically beg him to do one freaking measurement. I finally had to get the other shop on speaker phone to finally convince this guy to do one dang measurement, and even then it wasn't without a hefty dose of eye rolling. He was so rude to the man from the other shop. It was getting stupid at this point, I truly couldn't believe how this guy was behaving. Maybe he was having a bad day, maybe something bad happened in his life, you really never know what a person is going through, but my family's experience here was very poor, TWICE. I really feel like it's because we weren't paying customers.
After the measurement was finally done, I was very honest (and yes, very polite) with the male owner, and quietly explained that although I'm not a paying customer this time, a little bit of customer service and acknowledgement would have gone a long way for future prom and wedding events. I told him that taking care of even non-paying customers would ensure that they'd come back. I could not believe how this guy acted at that point.. he suddenly became EXTREMELY condescending and sarcastic. He dramatically walked over to the back of the store, and "scooped" up some air. He walks over to me with his hands cupped and snidely says "Here's your refund, ma'aaaam."
That dramatic display of disgusting unprofessional behavior made it clear that he really does only care about money, and not one bit about the customer and their experience. Never again will I set foot in this shop, and rest assured I will forever be taking my...
Read moreTouchdown Tuxedo is AMAZING! My son recently had his senior prom and needed a tux. From the moment we went into the store to when I returned the tux after the event our service was UNBELIEVABLE. My son and I went into the shop a week prior to the event the were so busy with many young men and it was only 45 minutes till their closing time. They did not turn us away they greeted us and got our information and told us it would just be a little bit before they could get to us. We had a great time watching the other young men pick out their fancy attire and watch the staff work so had to get them looking sharp for their event. My son was the last to be helped that evening and even though it was now two hours past their closing they helped him as if it were he were the first of the day. They were amazing and never rushed us, they wanted him to have exactly what he imagined. His prom was the following Saturday and we were scheduled to pick it up that morning. The day prior to the prom my son ended up needing emergency knee surgery and was in a very large brace. I gave them a call that evening to tell them we would need to modify the pants a bit to get them to fit over his brace. They assured me we would work in all out when we came to pick it up in the morning. They did just that! When we went in Steve took a look at him measured his leg with the brace on and said I will be right back. Knowing he still wanted to look sharp and couldn't remove the brace Steve did something truly amazing. He came out with one size larger and one leg of the pant cut off 16 inches down. Yes he cut off the pant leg!! My son tried on the pants Steve then showed us his vision of tucking the edge of the pant into the brace . It worked so good, he looked amazing. As a senior having your last moments and having to change how you envisioned things, Steve did an wonderful job helping us make our modified vision Epic! He had a great time and his senior...
Read moreI always get skeptical about going into shops in Idaho. blBeing ethnic and wanting a product of whatever kind or just being with a friend that's just going to a shop to get something and I tag along with them only to be ignore if I want something as well, I'll be mistreated. The shop owners, whether they are silent about the mistreatment or obvious about it has always made me uncomfortable going local but I'll let you guys know this is a good place to get tux. The father and son were super sweet, made amazing conversation and were very professional. It's been a very long time since I've seen that. They were amazing about how they made things fit to what you're comfortable with and vocal about what it would look like and how they can make you look good whether you're a groomsmen or going to prom this is a good business. Thank you both for proving me wrong and making my experience something I'll never forget. I left with a smile and laughter. Things were quick, smooth, and accurate. I hope you get more business in your near and far future....
