The 4th of July celebration at Powder Springs Park was a pleasant surprise. I didn't know what to expect when my friends invited me but it was very enjoyable. Food vendors, jewelry vendors, crafts for the kids, bounce houses--they had lots for everyone. The amphitheater made a nice addition too, where performers sang, danced and simply strutted their stuff. The last band was real good, playing old school R&B and funk I could sing to. Lastly, the encore of the evening--the fireworks--were on point. The fireworks show was excellent and combined with the music selection, warmed my heart and made me proud to be an American. It didn't hurt that July 4th is also my birthday. It was hard not to see the fireworks as put on for my own personal enjoyment. I will definitely check out the Park for other events they may have throughout the year.

I had a lovely experience at this park today! There are lots of beautiful trees out there. I really enjoyed the walking path across the bridge. It's a nice and shady spot to walk when it's hot out! It could be cleaner out there, but overall very nice. Please don't litter in our parks! There are trash cans available. 🙏

It's ok to visit but do not let your kids play baseball there. Even with new people taking over it's worse than ever. Unorganized, the way the team's are picked ensure that they aren't even teams meaning there is always a stacked team. The umpires are horrible and apparently it is a pre requisite to have bad eyesight to be an umpire there, very few kids which leads to very few teams sometimes only 2 teams in an age group. More often than not the coaches act like they don't care about what's best for the team, especially when they have a kid on the team( daddy ball) is huge at this park. Save yourself alot of grief and spend your money elsewhere when signing up your child to...

Not a great experience. Rented the huge covered gazebo for a birthday party for my 3 year old great grandson. Power did not work in the gazebo. It was 90 degrees, and we could not plug in the fans...needless to say it was a miserable time. Kids had a great time once the water balloon battle started and they could cool off, but no break for the older adults there...shame on the park for renting out the area without power for the things like the snowball machine, and other electrical stuff...it is a shame but not sure this is a good choice for anything other than letting the kids play on the slides. I will not be back for...
