Very impressed! We are world travelers and that statement is hard to come by from us!
What a joy it was to discover “Suga’s Cheese Shoppe and Café” in Powder Springs GA. This is a beautiful, historic and quaint little town, just a hop and a skip northwest of Atlanta.
You will find history, and quilting, with cute shops, with a wonderful mix of old and new. Suga’s Cheese Shoppe and Café is located in a 100+ year old building in the historic square.
We arrived in the door and were greeted by a bright, wonderfully remodeled dining area with gracious hosts and a delightful menu of what we would call “gourmet burgers”, sandwiches, wraps and pasta. The fries, and onion rings were to die for.
We had the Southern Charm Burger with fries and the Triple B Burger with rings. We could not have been more delighted. These were not your ordinary burgers! They are described as a short rib, brisket blend and were bursting with flavor. Not only that, they were juicy and thick. The ingredients on each burger were fresh. The flavor profile was balanced and definitely fit into the “gourmet” category. This is our new “best burger we ever ate” place!
We left with some of their pickled cukes, pimento cheese and jams. Looking forward to enjoying those!
Stop in to this delightful, delicious destination and enjoy the friendly atmosphere and most gracious hosts and excellent service. You will not be disappointed. You really have to...
Read moreHoney, very good (in my Tabitha Brown voice)! Read about this little spot on Nextdoor and Facebook so my husband and I decided to give it a try for lunch. It was busy when we got there and seemed to remain steady throughout our visit.
Those mac & cheese balls were delish. They’re served with marinara. I was wishing the inside had a little more flavor but they paired well with the marinara. We had the black cherry lemonade; it was refreshing— not overly sweet or sour. If you like sweet, this is not for you. And…. They do not come with refills.
I got the shrimp scampi over angel hair pasta; it was served with garlic bread. That bread was soooo good! It was probably so good because I’m not supposed to be eating it right now! Lol! Anyhow…. The shrimp pasta was okay. It lacked some flavor. I brought my leftovers home and added some creole and blackened seasoning.
My husband got the Triple B Burger and fries. His was very good! How do I know? Because I bit his burger and ate a fry! Lol! They make those burgers look so inviting like you just want to bite it! And I’m glad I did!
We ended up paying just over $65 but that includes the tip.
Definitely try it out. It’s such a nice vibe. Very...
Read moreWe went here after hearing how good it was but unfortunately when we arrived we were greeted by a nice woman and seated immediately, we began to read our menus and make our choices and we sat waiting. After 10 mins of waiting for anyone to say we will be with you in a moment or even bring over a water, I asked the hostesses if we needed to order at the counter she said no and that someone would be with us in a minute. So we waited and waited the gentleman that was suppose to take out order walked by us 6 times and said nothing didn't even look in our direction. After 15 more mins of waiting for someone to take our order, we left. We could not justify sitting at a table for 25mins and not even being given water or being...
