Great park! My mother sang at the Christmas tree lighting, it was so beautiful! Also, a group from our church choir sang Christmas carols on the Powder Springs First Baptist Church steps. We then walked behind the parade and sang on the amphitheater stage before the tree lighting. A children's choir sang as well. Santa was there, the Grinch and Mickey Mouse! They had complimentary hot cocoa and cookies for everyone. This was so nice! It really made a great Christmas season starter. There is also a Reindeer Scavenger Hunt going on until Christmas! Very beautiful park on the square with a great play area for...

Thurman Springs Park is to Powder Springs what the family room is to the home. This jewel of a park has an outdoor amphitheater, seating, space to set up folding chairs, and a hill to run up and down and a climbing gym for the littles. Bring your own ping pong paddles and enjoy the outdoor ping pong table. The restrooms are clean. Several restaurants and an ice cream and coffee shop are on the south edge of the park. In the summer, when events are not being held, the splash pad will keep you cool. The City of Powder Springs hosts festivals and concerts there...

I went to the seafood festival. Several booths were captivating. I spent $45 for fishermans platter. Lots of fish but didn't realize it would be so much. Belgian waffle was tasty. I was captivated by the soap dealers ,c b d dealers and textile merchants. I bought a fabric bird. I eventually bought a ring because the lady was so kind to repair my sentimental turtle necklace that I'd gotten from overseas. She crafted it from her. Supplies and did such a good job that I added a turtle ring to it. She was the lady that can make a ring under...

Love this place! Just finished first annual powder springs seafood festival. It was amazing. Great live music concerts. Delicious food. Yummy drinks alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Lots of cool arts and craft and clothing vendors. The restrooms were clean and plenty of shady places to sit eat drink and enjoy. Definitely going again next year!
