So before I had left a good review about this place all up until last week I had been sick with a lump in my lung that's being monitored and I lost so much weight from it and I went to Peoria to buy 2 pair of pants well when I came home my 3 year old tore my tags off so I called good will in prescott valley and they told me I could return them but when I got there I had to talk to a chick named nyelli who claimed to be a manger and she said I couldnt return them it cost me time and gas and she was so dam rude she wouldn't even let me explain that I only wanted to exchange them she acted like she worked at kohl's when she works at a used up thrift store the goodwill doesn't even give back to the community like other local thrift stores they get free trash like old wallmart shirts and sell them for 8 dollars and gives nothing back to the comunity ....I called the corporate and they said they would ask for them to return it and that I would get a call back they never called me back so they wont even help u it's pointless people if ur going to donate plz donate to stepping stones or other thrift stores who help people and not look at them like the trash they sell honestly I was so upset that I will red flag them and not do anything with the...
Read moreThe bathrooms have been disgusting for months and clearly are not being cleaned regularly; the soap dispenser has also been broken for at least a year, the toilet paper dispenser flung open and hit me in the face also the only handicapped stall doesn’t have a lock whatsoever just a hole in the door I literally have witnessed another woman crawling underneath that door because she got locked in (assuming that’s the reason there is no lock now) and then after leaving the bathroom I hear/see someone yelling at a worker yelling across the store asking what he’s doing over here and when the guy tried to respond he yelled at him to “get over here boy” as I and several other customers watched this interaction he continued to yell at him that there were no go backs for this side and to do the returns in the men’s section “like he told him to” even though he was clearly holding women’s clothing in the women’s clothing sections so there was obviously things needing to go back. It was disturbing to see that and considering goodwill makes money from people’s donated items this company/store should be fixing everything broken in the bathrooms and stop pricing things at basically retail for free items this is just corporate greed...
Read moreComing in the door I asked a young girl behind the counter a question, received a short, curt response. Thought perhaps she's having a rough night (Friday the 13th blues maybe?). When I tried to joke with her she would not engage at all, turned her back, and acted as though no one had spoken to her. She then began to talk into a phone or something on the counter. Later learned this is the store manager? Have been in management and customer service for longer than this young girl has probably been alive and there once was a time that if you didn't greet a customer (you know, the people who make it possible for you to have a job) and offer assistance you didn't keep that job for long.
Seeing the prices on dirty broken items made for more surprise and disappointment. $3.49 for a chipped cracked plate? Just because it's old doesn't make it an expensive antique lol. Such a shame, it used to be FUN shopping there, and dropping $50 or more was easy and you got a fair deal. Spent less than $20 and didn't stay the hour or so I used to and won't be going back any time soon if at all. Depends on future reviews.
It was not busy and no wondering why.
Sigh..... goodbye to another great place given over to disengaged...
