What a cool find and so unique to Prescott and Prescott Valley. We were introduced to Bronzesmith by friends who have a bronze statue and who wanted to see how it was made. Bronzesmith do tours on Thursdays for $20 a person. So we decided to go. When you first see the prices on these beautiful works of art you are really thrown into sticker shock. But then you take the tour and realize the effort, passion and artistry that goes into each piece is mind blowing. Months of staff hours goes into each statue they produce. And the artisans at this factory play as much (if not a greater role) in reproducing each piece - as the original artist put into the design. We never understood the work it takes to produce a bronze statue. Wow. The tour was eye opening and super informative. And the ability to get up close to how this all happens was just plain cool. Even getting to talk with the workers and ask questions was amazing. While I am not sure we can afford one of these pieces, it is well worth the tour to understand and better appreciate why the costs are what they are - so next time you go through a gallery in Scottsdale or Sedona you have an appreciation for the staggering amount of work and artistry involved. I found this far better than taking a beer or whisky tour - from a learning point of view. And you were right inside the foundry - able to really experience what was happening. A must see.

We visited here today and it was surprisingly a really great tour! This isn't something I'd normally seek out, but a friend recommended we take the tour here and see how bronze art is made. We got to see a pouring and that was very cool.

Wonderful place to visit! Kathy is an outstanding tour guide. The tour is a must do experience that gives you the opportunity to see the bronze masters at work. Observing a pour was exceptional and meeting Carl, the patina master was fantastic. Love all of the pieces we have added to our collection. Looking forward to our next visit. Highly...
