Bank of America, evil corporate crooks, abandoned this fine piece of 1920s architecture in 2012. It has since fallen into disrepair and somewhat resembles a gray tombstone over Providence, easily seen driving by on I-95. The building itself is quite handsome, it's not called the "Superman Building" for nothing; and could look nice again one day. Even more remarkable is how it has remained the tallest building in the city for all the 90 years of its existence and the fact that it is OLDER than New York's Empire State Building by a few years.
