I recently moved to Marina Bay and I wanted to support the local businesses around the boardwalk. But As a new customer, I was totally disappointed from the moment I made the appointment to when I left the premises. Starting with the rude receptionist, who did not acknowledge my presence, I had to insist that she locate my appointment. Despite my informing the receptionist that I was recommended by one of the owner’s friends, and, specifically asking for the owner, I was ignored when I made eye contact with her. It gets worse… The stylist had no idea how to cut my wavy/curly hair and I had to save myself from a disaster (in fact I have to go somewhere else to repair the damage). After this terrible introduction and service, I reluctantly returned to the receptionist to pay. Their website states that first time customers receive a 15% discount on services, and I mentioned this at the time I made the appointment. This same receptionist took my initial reservation, and confirmed at that time that she was noting the discount in the calendar. Of course, when I went to pay, I was assessed the full service price. When I reminded her about the discount, she recalculated, but only as to one of the services (I had two – a coloring and a cut). I just went along at that point, but this is a very bad business practice. Overall, the one star rating is for the stylist, who tried hard, but apparently (and this goes for all of the staff I encountered) was ill-trained for her job. What a pretentious place, good for anyone who cares more about the appearance of the salon, then the attitude and skills of the staff. And, you will pay...
Read moreI made a last minute appointment 3 days before my wedding for an airbrush tan. I've had them before at other places, but decided to go there because somebody I knew recommended it, and hers always came out nice. I made the appointment with Nicole on purpose, knowing she does a good job. Without notifying me, they switched my appointment, to the new girl. I was extremely pissed off but decided to go with it. After, Cheryl, the owner did apologize, after Nicole explained to her that I made the appointment with her because it was for my wedding, they told me they'd give me another one free, however I didn't want it, because they did such a horrible job, and we're so unprofessional. Not to mention I had no reason to go back, I was only doing it for my wedding. I have streaks in a lot of my wedding photos, and will never go back there again for any reason, but especially not for...
Read moreThis place is extremely unprofessional. One of the stylist messed up on my wife's hair and she had to book another appointment to go back to get it fixed. We were 15 minutes late because of bad weather and slippery roads. The stylist then proceeded to belittle my wife in front of the staff and other clients. Granted it was our fault for being late but that doesn't mean she can disrespect my wife like that. My wife shows her pictures of where she messed up and then the stylist proceeded to play victim and make lame excuses. You would think its common sense for a business to be professional and care about their customers. Not degrade people because they can't own up to their own mistakes. A high class salon with low...
