Absolute horrible Mother's Day Experience. Made reservations online, nowhere did it say it was a buffet only Mother's Day, which would have been fine but it felt like a trick to get people to spend $35 a plate on what did not look like much of a spread in a small side room. Unfortunately we never got a chance to eat anything as once we were seated and our waitress poured some coffee, she disappeared for about 15mins. We were left without any cream or sugar.
Before we were suprised by the buffet only option we were given menus, but the menus were for lunch and dinner so when our waitress finally came back we asked about the breakfast menu and were told, "I think its buffet only, I'll go double check with the kitchen". We asked for some cream and sugar, she disappeared another 5+ minutes and only came back with sugar then confirmed it was only buffet brunch. I asked why we were even given menus and if I could order off the menu (lunch/dinner items), and she said she'd double check.
Tables around us started leaving by this point and others were walking up to complain about the service they were receiving. The restaurant just opened at 10am and our reservation was 10:15 so there really were not many people even in the place yet. The hostess was walking by and we asked for the cream for the coffee which she went to get, she came back and we all realized that we didn't have spoons to stir the coffee anyways.
Our waitress finally returned and apologized that the kitchen is not doing anything from the menu at all (The hostess was still sitting other tables with menus). We expressed our dissatisfaction with how everything was going and how we felt misled from the start, the waitress then got snippy with another apology and said she'd get the manager then walked away.
The hostess came back, which may have also been the manager? I have no clue at this point but she told us the kitchen is too backed up to do anything else but the buffet. The coffee was cold and everything was so unorganized and frustrating that we decided to cut our losses and just leave.
Luckily we walked over to Port 305, we were able to get a table because another party cancelled and we enjoyed their buffet which was $5 less and delicious! Can't wait to write a great review for Port 305 saving Mother's Day and we will never step foot in Victory Point Bar...
Read moreMy brother and I were looking for a place to celebrate our graduations and Matison and the team at Victory Point exceeded our expectations. We reserved the private space on the second floor which was absolutely beautiful and it was perfect for our 50 guests. We had passed hors d'oeuvres (which just elevated the event), a buffet dinner spread, and we brought our own cakes (which the team cut and served to all of our guests). The food was great as expected, but I think what really impressed everyone was how attentive Matison and the staff was-- the whole night they were constantly checking on everyone to see if they needed something, if the food came out good, making sure everyone had cake, making sure water glasses were constantly filled, etc.
Another thing to rave about are the amenities of this space. For example, we were able to put on a playlist of music using the room's bluetooth speakers, we were able to put up a slide show of my brother and I's baby pictures using the room's projector and screen, and even facilitate a Kahoot game and various family member speeches using the room's microphone/speaker system. The night was just so fun and interactive-- you don't just go for the food and drinks, you can make your event at Victory Point something special and bring your imagination to life.
Overall the space and food was spectacular, elegant, great vibes, I have so many positive things to say, but what made this experience amazing was working with Matison and how flexible and responsive she was to every question and request. That communication and transparency made my family, who was working on a budget, feel more comfortable with what was happening. I HIGHLY recommend Victory Point for your next...
Read moreAbsolutely superb experience all around!! I was looking for a place with outdoor dining since it's starting to get nice out, and honestly this was my first choice because I could book a reservation online, which was a breeze. Didn't end up needing the res. though, we were seated right away outside. Our server's name was Maddie I believe, and she was absolutely wonderful. Very charming and so attentive. My friend and I took forever to make a decision on an appetizer since we just kept catching up, but as soon as we put our menus down she came right over to take our order. The calamari came out so quickly!! It was the BEST calamari I've had in a very long time. Perfect, light breading and cooked to perfection. not chewy at all, just melts right in the mouth. Good portions too. I ordered the Lobster Raviolis(pic) and my friend got the Cod Milanese, both of which were absolutely delicious and came out in good time as well. Best Lobster raviolis I've had at a restaurant, ever. Prices for seafood are standard, but the quality here is great. 3 Drinks, appetizer, and 2 main seafood dishes totaled up to a little over $100. The atmosphere was wonderful. Being able to watch the sun set on the marina and a little view of the Boston skyline made for a fantastic evening. We frequented the Water Club before covid and it was our first time back around Marina Bay. I am so excited for better weather so we can keep coming back! 11/10 :) I wish I took more pictures to share the great...
