Chantey At Marina Bay — Restaurant in Quincy

Stopped into this bar last night with my girlfriend and was greeted by a friendly doorman who asked for our IDs, he noticed they were out of state and had to hand them off to someone else to "check them". I had to stand there for close to 10 minutes until I asked politely to have our IDs back because it was getting ridiculous. The big shot official "ID checker" returned to say "I can't let you in with this ID, it's definitely fake and I shouldn't even give this back to you"... Not only is my ID real, I'm in my 30s and I'm in the Boston area because my dad has been in the hospital here for several weeks now. The fact that I had to wait for 10 minutes and then have to beg to get my state issued ID back was absolutely the most unprofessional and insulting thing I've experienced at any bar. Whomever this "ID checker" is, obviously has no experience and shouldn't be in that position. I'll also add that he ripped up the corner on my ID which will probably lead me to paying $$ for a new one and a DMV visit back home. I deserve an apology at...

Good and service was horrible. I asked for a fish and chips. I had ask if I could get extra fish and that I did not want French fries. He told me that I would have to order a 2 order of the fish. He suggested that if I get a fish platter that I would get more fish. So I ordered it. When I got my food there was one piece of fish 3 pieces of shrimp and some clams that was dried out and cooked dark colored brown. I felt that the customer service was bad. They did not try to ammodate me and to make me happy. I did not want to order anything else I felt that would be bad also since they told me the first thing I order would come out the same if they did it over. Is that really going to make me come back to your restaurant? I don’t think so! Customer service is going above and beyond to satisfied the customer where they are going to want...

Initially I was worried, me and my guest walked in, we got a few awkward stares from a couple of patrons like what are you doing here stare. While trying to ask a question we seemed to be getting ignored. I was trying to get the waitress attention but I guess she was too focused on working. So finally I asked someone eating at the table was this the main entrance because there was a table blocking the entrance and they helped us. So we stood there waited for assistance and a second waitress approached us with disappointed look and said the wait is about 25 minutes. We left and called back and was asked did we put our name on the waitlist? So we did, waited after that. Finally, after getting in and serviced everything went pretty smooth.
