Quincy Sons of Italy — Attraction in Quincy

First and foremost thank you Marie for all your help! This lady goes above and beyond! she doesn't just rent you out the place and that's it. - I've rented the Sons of Italy 3 times in the past. The first time was 14 years ago, YES 14! for my sisters baby shower, again in 2017 for my wedding reception (We used the upstairs room for our reception) and then again in July 2023 for my husbands surprise 40th Birthday party.

From beginning to end she was a great help, for all parties. Whenever I would email her with questions she would get right back to me.. she knew the surprise party had me stressed out! lol my wedding not so much because she literally takes care of everything, you just tell her how and what you want and she makes it happen! (for the wedding receptions) - She is very thorough and clear when explaining the contract so there is no confusion later.,Most rental halls have a bar minimum that has to be met, which is fine. In our case that was never an issue! Marie literally helped set up, and clean up! She even set up the food that was delivered from the caterer and let me use her chafing dishes even though I had bought my own! she said it would make my life easier when the party ended , less clean up for me! I mean C'mon what other hall would consider that?! She also, offered bar height tables when we thought there wasn't going to be enough seating for my guest. My vendors didn't have an issue showing up, Marie was very accomodating, including my photo booth vendor.

The downstairs hall is spacious and updated, the upstairs hall is huge and very pretty, has nice chandeliers too. The bathrooms are clean and newer, the bartenders are great, there's also lots of parking.

All in all I will continue to use Sons of Italy as my first go to...

If you are African American don’t even bother booking this hall! They lady Marie is very mean and nasty and clearly discriminates based on skin color. I had my daughter’s 1st birthday here. Not only did she make up restrictions that were not in the contract as the party went on but she tried to overcharge me an extra 250$ for not meeting the bar minimum. The bartender did not call out last call for bar at 4:30pm. Mind you I asked continuously throughout the party where we were in order to meet the bar minimum. The closing tab was 217.00, bar minimum is 250$. Why would you not inform me and my guests about last call for bar, so we can meet the 250$ min? She didn’t because she thought she was going to charge me an extra $250 for not meeting the minimum. I would have paid the difference, But an extra $250 is ridiculous. Then when I spoke with her about it she tried to use the aggressive black woman card, even after I assured her I was not trying to cause any trouble. Then she goes on to say that soft play areas are not allowed but she let me have it for my party. Nothing about soft play areas NOT being allowed we’re in the contact so that is something she clearly made up on the fly. This was the worse hall i ever experienced renting. Well first things first, thank you sooo much Marie for ALL your help during this baby shower! From day one, Marie made us feel comfortable and at home. Her first priority was to ensure we understood the contract giving for renting the hall. Marie explained the contract and answered all questions we had clear, no misunderstanding or disagreements. Marie explained clearly ALL prices including the bar prices, she was also very helpful when it came down to the chair cover prices, which I don’t mind her charging extra for since the hall was such a good price. Marie was very patient, answered all our questions and very respectful but besides that, Marie came thru clutch! She provided a big helping hand throughout the whole night! She made everyone at the event feel welcomed! And for that we thank you!

This was our first time using this hall & we got very lucky to hold our daughter’s baby shower at such a wonderful clean establishment. Huge parking area, great lighting, huge hall for such a great price!

By the way, I’m an African American women! And so proud I did business with such a wonderful lady like Marie! Again thank you so much!
