Terrible customer service. 3/23/2016
I am a regular customer of TJ Maxx, specially this location since is right around the corner from my house. Today I went shopping for a dress for my niece. One of the dresses that I picked had a little hole in the back. I brought this to the cashier's attention and wanted to asked her if there is a way we can find out if there is another dress like this in the store. When the cashier saw the hole immediately thought I was trying to get a discount and took the dress with her to one of her coworkers, which I thought might have been the manager. The cashier came back and said "sorry the mark down is closed and I can't mark the price down". I asked her what did that mean, when a lady at the register next to us passes by us and tell us that "mark down" closes at noon everyday, so there is nothing they can do. I asked her if she saw the manager, she answered YES! and a lady two registers down screams at us saying that the information is correct and that there is nothing they can do. All three ladies were very rude and aggressive in the way the talked to me. Uncomfortable and dissatisfied, I asked for the manager. The lady that checked us out paged the manager for customer assistance. When the manager came, I tried explaining the situation, "there is a hole in this dress", she also immediately assumed I wanted a discount. She again took the dress, asked me if I asked for a discount, I said I did, for which she replied "it's only a dollar anyway". Confused I said to her, that the lady that helped us said that the "mark down" closes at noon and there was nothing they can do. The manager took the dress behind the registers and asked what was going on. I got closer to listen and the manger says to me if I showed that the item was damaged. I said, yes I did, and the other two ladies there said no! I started explaining again what happened, when the manager interrupted me and said "I am not gonna go back and forth with you". At that point I was very upset for what was going on, and the way I was being treated. I said to the manager that I didn't like to be lied to and that was all. With all honestly I don't care for a $2 discount. I wanted to check if there was another dress like that in the store for my niece, but I wasn't going to pay full price for a damaged item. I don't know which kind of people they have to deal with everyday, but they sure made me feel like crap, and that is not the right thing to make people feel if you want them to come back and shop with you. The sad part is that this is not even the first time I've been in some kind of situation here. There has been other instances where people at this TJ Maxx have completely lied to my and treated me rudely.

Read moreThe place definitely upgraded!! It's always fully stocked, theres always somebody there to help you too!! Especially in jewelry. I got my son a beautiful gold chain, with a cross and it was like... half off the original price!!!! It was originally marked at $500, then marked down to $350, PLUS.... I got it on clearance! So that brought it down another $100!! I paid $250 for a mens solid, 14k Gold chain + the solid 14k gold cross!!!! WIN WIN BABY!!! Never mind all the womens clothes, kitchenware, Bathroom ware ect..!!!! The only thing I dont like though.... they don't seem to have too much for boys youth AT ALL!!! Which is kinda sad. Cuz boys are hard to shop for!!! So, if you can get me some name brand, size 10-12 and mark that ish down.... you all mine as well just take my whole dang paycheck and deposit it yourselves, Cuz thats where my $$$ go!!!! Lol. 4real tho.. I wish they had a lot more for boys. If that's the only take away, that would be it!!!! So pls T.J.X.... start wheeling those in. 🚚🚛⏰️ With more toys too!! Read moreBad customer service, especially the manager named Lisa. Make sure you open any packages that have multiple items to double check all items listed is indeed in the box. I got an ab wheeler and it's missing one bar. Brought it back to exchange or return but missing receipt. Told them I paid with my tjmaxx card and they are more than welcome to look it up and verify. Was told they can't do that and turned around the manager asking me to thank them for doing me the favor by giving me the full price plus the tax I originally paid in store credit because the item they sold in the store is missing a part. Not even an apology that they sold me this and making it inconvenient for me to bring it back. I guess it is my fault to shop at their store in the first place and not doing my own diligent to check the item they are selling to the customers whether there's a missing piece or not. Will...
