Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa — Attraction in Radnor Township

I made my appointment online 2 weeks prior and arrived 15 minutes before my massage, my therapist was not there on time and I waited over an hour past my scheduled time to have my prenatal massage. Customers who were checking in at the same time as me were actually finished their 1 hour massages and checking out while I sat and waited. I was very, very disappointed to say the least. I also requested my therapist wear a mask during my massage which also did not happen and I was very upset about. I had scheduled an upgrade to 90 minutes, however my massage ended 15 minutes early so I only got a 75 minute massage, I laid flat on my back for far too long and had to ask to roll to my side after becoming uncomfortable. My neck was worked twice and no attention was given to my upper back tension that I mentioned was causing me pain. Very disappointed in my experience, but I will say the receptionist was very kind, apologetic and friendly and kept offering me water and asking if I needed anything while I waited over an hour for my therapist to arrive. I went to Hand and Stone in Wayne, PA today and was greeted at the front desk by a stellar staff member, Shermire. She was attentive and extremely helpful. I forgot my glasses in my car so she kindly read the sign-in documents for me!! This is not my first experience with Shermire and I recall the last time to be very similar as she showed excellent customer service. Earlier in the day I called and spoke with Callie who was also extremely helpful in helping me to change my appointment from Sunday to today! Both she and Shermire spent a few minutes in conversation with me before my scheduled massage. They were engaging and enjoyable to talk with. Finally, Peter my masseur! I am so glad I was able to book with Peter as my schedule changed last minute! He is professional and always attentive to my health needs! Oh my goodness!!!! This location was awesome! The Manager was super nice and helpful. And I received the best facial I’ve ever had in my entire life about two weeks ago. I’ve been meaning to write this review. I don’t normally write reviews but it was so outstanding, I just had to write. Nancy did an incredible job and she is remarkable at what she does, loves what she does, it’s very obvious she cares so much, also extremely knowledgeable— my skin has gotten to be a hot mess with all different issues, which she explained everything and treated each situation and then gave me directions on what to do for follow through at home to get me back to great, non oily, decreased pore size, and glowing youthful skin again.
