GLOW Fitness, LLC — Attraction in Raleigh

Um this place is incredible. Staff SUPER nice and welcoming. Before I list off all the reasons GLOW is great, I have to say I'm most impressed with their branding! Every single thing is branded tastefully and that just makes it so fun. (Pink, purple, neon, galactic themes, what's not to love? Towels, shirts, water bottles, goodie bags, stickers, foam rollers, all the merch, all the branding, they know what's up). I've only been to spin classes and have loved them. Music is fun and upbeat and class music has themes Instructors encourage you but it's not overwhelming and if you're ever not feeling anything, it's totally fine to NOT do it Before class, they offer you free regular towels or "cold" towels which are wet in a refrigerator and that is the nicest feeling during a good sweat in the summer. Love the cold towels. I had gone one time (only $11 for first class), and I hadn't been back for a second time, so eventually I got an email that said "WE MISS YOU!" and a code for a FREE class. Amazing. I went back for the second class, then went for a third, and because it was my third class, they gave me a pink and purple galactic goodie bag with a hand-written THANK YOU note with my name on it, and a free GLOW water bottle. On the fifth class, I will get a free shirt (jaw drops). On the way out from my third class, there were POPSICLES waiting. (No sugar added!) I absolutely love Glow! Glow is truly deserving of their award and being Raleigh’s best. From the instructors to the gym community itself, Glow makes fitness fun! I used to train/workout individually and decided to finally try out a barre class; After taking my first class I was hooked! I ended up trying out their 2 weeks unlimited deal and knew then that I wanted to incorporate Glow into my health and wellness journey. They offer a variety of classes (aside from barre), like cycle, functional strength training, yoga, mixed martial arts, and so many dance classes too! The energy you feel from each instructor and during each class is unmatched. I’ve made so many new friends through Glow and am constantly motivated by my gym family! I’ve also told my other friends and family about Glow and each of them have enjoyed their experience (and have become members themselves)!...

I recently purchased a ticket for a "sexy yoga" class at this gym, which was advertised as a space for everyone. However, upon arrival, I was told that I couldn’t participate because I’m a man. This policy was not mentioned anywhere in the class description or advertising materials, which left me feeling confused and unfairly treated.

North Carolina law prohibits businesses from refusing service to customers based on protected classes like race, religion, sex, or disability.

It's incredibly disappointing to encounter discrimination in a place that claims to prioritize comfort and inclusivity. If gender restrictions are in place, they should be clearly communicated in advance, so potential participants know what to expect. This experience has definitely left a bad impression, and I hope the gym reconsiders how they handle these policies...
