Havertys Furniture — Attraction in Raleigh

Edited to add: I contacted the manager at the Haverty's store with my frustrations and within days, he has been working to fix the issues. Some of these are supply chain related, which I understand and appreciate the candor, and he's gone above and beyond to be communicative and fix what he can fix.

Original review: Started great, turned incredibly frustrating. We were moving to the Raleigh NC area so we placed a large order of items in December 2020. The sales person Sonia was great, and it seemed at first that everything would go well and be delivered by May 2021.

It's now almost July and not only do we not have all of the furniture we ordered, we have incomplete and broken pieces because 1) only one part of our sectional was finished and delivered , 2) a dining room table was sent with the wrong hardware and A MONTH LATER we are still waiting with no fix date, and a table top lying on our living room floor because the table can't be used and now issue #3 (from the same order)) one missing dining table chair from the full set because it was broken.

The delivery date for our missing couch items keeps getting pushed back month after month, with no actual end in sight. There is NO date on the missing hardware. Customer service just says "sorry for the inconvenience" with no ability to fix this.

This started off really great in the store and the furniture is beautiful once it arrives-- but GETTING the furniture has been laden with problems and zero resolutions - and a complete lack of concern on the part of Haverty's. I am the one having to track answers, such as they are, down and check weekly on when my furniture will be fixed or arrive. I would expect more from a store that claims that their customer service is tops. When THREE separate pieces in one order have issues, management should be taking notice and doing everything you can...

Her product knowledge, active listening, and communication skills were excellent in helping me select the ideal living room and bonus room pieces for my new home. She even followed up with me to ensure timely delivery of the furniture and saved me an additional $200 on my items one month after purchase thanks to Havertys Labor Day Sale! I would welcome the opportunity to work with Sonia again and highly recommend her for your furniture shopping needs.

She was excited to greet me and creatively fulfilled my needs for 2 end tables, a dining room, and living room set. She remembered the layout of my home as described by me during my first visit, including the color scheme after I recently had my entire home painted. She did her homework in advance and was prepared for my visit. Sonia wasted no time presenting me with suggestions based on familiarity, my price points, and my tastes. Again, Sales Associate Sonia Nagpal is highly recommended!

In April my husband and I went into Havertys to look for some furniture for our new home. I have purchased furniture from Havertys before and am still pleased with it after many years of use.

When we first arrived a gentleman helped us who was friendly and helpful but he soon had to leave so he handed us over to Gregg. Gregg was helpful and attentive and just a delight to work with. He listened to our needs and steered us to the places we needed to look. He was not pushy at all which was greatly appreciated. He listened to me and what I was looking for to curate the best living room possible and also made sure that my husband was happy with the choices as well so we’d both love the new furniture and vibe of the room.

If you go in seeking new furniture ask for Gregg. I am sure everyone who works there is just lovely but we are partial to Gregg! He made fun but an overwhelming task easier with his advice and help. Tell him Lisa sent you and tell him I said hello!

Also I wanted to add that the delivery guys who brought and set up our furniture were absolutely wonderful too. They took great care to not damage the walls or floors and assembled everything quickly and perfectly.
