Visited the Raleigh Fire Museum with my grandson and we both had such a wonderful time! The museum brings the history of Raleigh’s fire service to life with incredible exhibits, vintage fire trucks, gear, and memorabilia. The volunteers were fantastic—friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to share stories that made the experience even more engaging.
My grandson especially loved being able to operate a real fire hose and see the fire engines up close. The passion the staff has for preserving and sharing Raleigh’s firefighting history really shines through.

The workers and volunteers were really great. Jeff was so patient with my son and helped him with the hose. The former volunteer firefighter we met in the museum was wonderful as well.
