The Residences Glenwood Place — Attraction in Raleigh

Great units & amenities, but management has gone downhill, unable to effectively keep up. Listing issues + benefits below.

Issues: -Our unit has a patio which is inundated with birdseed, dead birds and rats. Management has communicated they are not responsible (between Feb 2024-present) and suggested that I purchase an "inexpensive broom, electric blower or umbrella to open while using patio to avoid birdseed dropping on my head" -Electronic entryways nice, however certain doors broken for 12 months -Garage door has been nonfunctional for 1week -For first 1yr, severe fire alarm issues. Was intermittent but extremely loud, inconvenient. Slept in car outside. No compensation provided

Benefits: -Location is unbeatable. Close to freeway, downtown, multiple ways to enter -Pool and common areas are very nice, enjoy the grills a lot -Interior of units are well insulated and finishings above average for multifamily apartments -Love the gated parking garage, rare for Raleigh

The management team was initially responsive but as they struggled to fill the complex, took a different turn. Don’t have much longer here so less skin in the game but sharing for awareness. If they worked out those issues and were more responsive, would rate 5 ⭐️

Update 5/26: Based on management response below, no responsibility taken for any items listed, thus lowering to 1 star. Unacceptable. See community lease addendum attached to this review, which the property manager is unwilling to enforce.

I had the pleasure of residing at Glenwood Residences during my time in Raleigh, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment I stepped foot into the building, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism by the staff.

One individual who truly stood out in providing exemplary customer service was Olivia Beckett. Olivia consistently went above and beyond to ensure that all of my needs were not only met but exceeded. Her attention to detail and dedication to ensuring a positive living experience truly made a difference. Whether it was addressing any concerns I had or simply brightening my day with her friendly demeanor, Olivia consistently delivered outstanding service.

Moreover, the entire staff at Glenwood Residences deserves commendation for their commitment to excellence. From maintenance requests to community events, they always strived to make residents feel valued and cared for.

Though my time at Glenwood Residences was regrettably cut short due to relocating out of state, I have no doubt that upon my eventual return to Raleigh, this would be the first place I would consider calling home once again. The exceptional service provided by Olivia and the entire team truly set Glenwood Residences apart, making it a standout choice for anyone seeking a welcoming and attentive living...
