I guess 1-Star is a must. 0 really should be an option, Google.

Let me make this clear. I checked in on 5/20/24 after 8pm. I finally made it to my somewhere around 9pm. Had to come back downstairs because the door would not open. The front desk agent (Ashanti) lovely person, came up to assist me. She's a sweetheart of a person. I finally ordered food, had a meeting and crashed for the night. I should have inspected the room of this bates motel.

I woke up the next morning to verify my late checkout, this was confirmed. I pulled back the comforter to get up and shower and my my my, would you believe I slept on BLOODY sheets all night. absolutely skin crawling. I jumped up, checked myself, took pictures and proceeded downstairs. Front desk supervisor was also nice, darling of a person. apologized and apologized. moved me to another room. I never saw the manager up to this point. I let them know I would be reporting this to corporate and ownership. Housekeeping manager came by and apologized.

I move to my next room. lights do not work, but oh well...the sheets are clean. next day I report the incident to Corporate (no one has the information to provide for ownership). Lies! Wyndham Corp. insists I go and speak with Brooke Frame & the issues began. After being told by the front desk supervisor Brooke would most likely not speak with me, I insisted Brooke had no choice as she's the general manager and a paying customer who slept on bloody sheets in this hitchhiker's motel would like to speak with her.

Enters into the doorway - this privileged white woman who probably has one black friend and one hispanic friend to sell she has street credit appears in the doorway, but would not approach the counter. Disrespectful as all get out. Stands there calling me "Aye" and "Hey" and "Excuse Me" neither of which I checked in under. I finally raise my head from looking at my phone (recording the incident as I had done with everyone I interacted with post seeing the blood). She rants about how I can get out of her hotel since it's not good enough for me. How she "got my little customer complaint" sawed of cuss she was. Angry with the world that she works in what looks like the new Gaza. I ask this Brooke person if she's mad I reported the conditions, she says no, I ask why she even brought it up. No good answer, of course, other than she's angry I reported it. She then emphatically tells me to get out. Presuming she believes I'm one of the drugged out regulars at the hotel, and not a Senior Executive Director for a major tech company. She treated me like the "Boy" she thought I was. Out of my depth against this white woman in her hotel. Even though she had no good reason to ask me to leave other than she personally disliked my filing a complaint. Which, I guess she'll hate the complaint I still have going with corporate, the one I'm filing with the BBB after this review, the one I'm filing with the NC Attorney General & Gov. Candidate, Josh Stein. & FTC.

I want Brooke to remember a few things. Don't ever place people in a box. Don't ever think you're the smartest one in the room. Don't use race to determine how you'll treat folks. A Foul-mouth nobody, is Brooke. Anyway, she ordered her staff to call law enforcement, they did not. That said, I did! I was sick of her! You can tell she tries to use Law Enforcement to keep the black folks in line, unfortunately Brooke, this is not the 1960's we're not scared of law enforcement or the Klan. If it's the last thing I accomplish, I want new management at this hotel and I don't intend to let this go.

No apology from Brooke as it relates to sleeping on soiled-bloody sheets. she didn't give a cat's flea collar what I slept on. I disturbed her from sitting in the back hiding from the people that pay her disgusting salary while the blacks & hispanics work. Outrageous. This hotel, I saw drugs, sex, crime, the police.

Brooke will probably respond to this message and proclaim how all of this is false, unfortunately, videos and...

The following photos and videos were taken solely for the fact that I felt threatened due to your employee verbally communicating a threat to me via your hotel phone directly to my room on 7/26/23 after getting my new keys to my room. She verbally stated that she "didn't want there to be any problems for me if she were to lose her job if I use her name as a reason" This female. She was supposed to be your front desk attendant last night and due to her negligence of not being available during her shift for over 2 hours during the hours of 11:00pm - 1:40am on the night of July 25th into the 26th, I had to order an UBER to take my asthmatic daughter (who is prescribed to take an Albuterol inhaler along with Zyrtec Allergy medications nightly before bed.) and my son to my sister's house to sleep on a couch 30 minutes away because we did not have access to our room. Our room keys would not register in the card reader. It would either not register at all or it would turn red. We tried multiple times before trying to find someone at the front desk around 11:10 After waiting 15 minutes at the front desk and no one arrived I tried to call the front desk starting at 11:25 to try to get someone to come to the front desk and no one ever came. We returned to the room at 11:46pm to retry the keys, which is shown in the following video. The night of the 24th we were in need of towels and waited around the exact same time for about 30 minutes to see if anyone would come to the front desk and no one ever came. I let that slide and told my kids we would be ok until the morning and I didn't complain because we had to evacuate due to the fire alarm being set off early that morning (7/25/23) so we weren't able to bring anything with us to my sisters, which is where he had to uber that morning due to not knowing how bad the fire was and we had no place else to go during this event. Upon arrival on 7/20/2023 around 3:22pm I was given the keys to room 431. Your elevator was (and still is) broken and that nor was any other direction given on how to get to our room. I was made to feel like I was burdening your second-shift front desk person with beautiful braids and an awful attitude just by simply inquiring on how to get to a room that I just fully paid for. Once my kids and I arrived to 431 and tried to use the keycard I heard the voice of a male ask loudly who was at the door ( This was happening in front of one of your housekeeping staff as well as another guest in the hallway ) I then apologized to him and told him that I was given the wrong key and didn't open the door even after it turned green. He asked if I was room service and I quickly said no and left to go back downstairs to try this again. Same front desk person was aggravated that i was there and told her what happened as nicely as possible away from other guest and staff. She asked me what his voice sounded like and what he looked like and if I was sure that someone was really in there. She then gave me the room key to 418 which thankfully worked. I woke up this same night around 3:19am to a woman at her dogs who were running up and down the hallway. Friday morning 7/21/2023 8:09AM this is what your breakfast looks like. Nothing was replenished and that only thing i was able to make was one Belgian waffle and 2 cups of juice. I ordered Walmart delivery on 7/21/2023 and put on the ticket to deliver to my room. Unfortunately, the delivery service left it at the front desk and I felt awful about it because it was 2 drinks for my kids and about 5 decent bags of snacks. The female asked Carlos who sadly had to walk from the atm machine to the employee area behind the front desk to hand me and my kids our bags was even apologized to by us for him having to do that. He seemed to be inconvenienced by the look on his face and I felt horrible that he had to do that little bit of...

The website is misleading. You walk into the lobby and think, “This looks nice,” but that’s where nice ends. The lobby is the only clean area. And they use a TON of Fabuloso on there to keep it smelling decent.

There is almost ZERO service at this poorly staffed and managed hotel. I called the front desk from 6pm-9:20pm and never got an answer. There is no option to leave a message. You get asked to punch in an access code instead, which I obviously did not know or have. I had to call Wyndham’s reservation line for them to let the hotel know our arrival time and again at 9:18pm to ask for someone to come to the front desk to check us in. I could hear the phone ringing when the reservations line called, but they had the same problem I did. The person helping me said they would have to call the emergency supervisor’s number to get someone to come to the front desk.

There are A LOT of dogs staying at this hotel. It might as well be called a pet motel. I worried about a flea infestation.

The room we were in was small, definitely not like the one in the picture. Thank goodness I travel with cleaning supplies because the room was dusty and dirty and the ice ice bucket and coffee machine were NASTY! The bathtub should have been replaced if the bottom was stained or damaged, but instead there was a stuck on mat that was cracking around the drain.

There were not enough towels. There are no USB ports to charge devices. The room phone did not work, so at 11pm I tried calling the front desk again. The clerk said that he would put a note for housekeeping to drop off towels the next day and a note for maintenance to fix the phone. 4pm the next day (Saturday), still no housekeeping with towels nor maintenance to fix the phone. Called front desk. Was told to come down and get the towels from them.

Husband goes down to witness police arresting someone in the lobby. This fits with the whole aesthetic of the place since every night was filled with people partying in the back parking lot and in the rooms near the back elevator. The main elevator NEVER worked. There is almost NO sound insulation so you hear every sound from the corridor and adjacent rooms, including any movements people above you make.

Saturday night was cold so we tried to turn the heat on. The room filled with a burning smell. Went to investigate and found old fruit loops in the vent. Cleaned what I could to try to get the heat on, but some were down past the vent. So we gave up and huddled under the covers.

They do not slip your check out receipt under the door on the day you check out. You have to go to front desk for that. All the other hotels we’ve stayed at allow you to check out from your room and to leave the key cards inside. Hilton’s app allows you to check in on your phone and use it to unlock doors so no key cards needed. That’s a great option for this hotel that never has someone at front desk for check in.

Breakfast is supposed to have hot meal options like egg and some sort of breakfast meat. None of that was available. There were waffles, prepackaged fruit pies, cereal, and bagels.

This hotel looks nice online, but it does not measure up in person. It most certainly does not measure up to Wyndham standards. The area is great, but La Quinta Crabtree is definitely one to skip. Stay at one of the other hotels...

DO NOT BOOK HERE!!! This, By FAR, has been the worst experience ever. Reservations were made a month in advance for my 8hr road-trip to this hotel. I called 3days in advance to confirm my reservation. Upon the call, I had questions regarding the reservation that went unanswered by the front desk. No worries. I show grace and pray everything will be fine. 5 hrs into my ride, I receive a call from them(3hrs away). They ask me if I want to cancel my reservation as they have no hot water, no working elevator, or Wi-Fi. I told them I could not cancel as the hotel was prepaid for and I am traveling alone with 2 young children. I have no time to look for a hotel as it will already be late when I arrive. I asked if they were able to provide a voucher for another hotel. The answer was no. With me having small children I asked if anyone could assist me with my bags to my room, the answer was no. I asked if he could at the very very least put me on the lower level being as though the elevator is out. He says yes but it will be the 2nd floor. It will have to do. Upon arrival, I unload my 2 children and luggage into the hotel. A very nice lady comes and opens the door for me seeing me struggling. As I get to the desk, the gentleman tells me that I will have to walk back outside, Go up the hill, and make a left to get to my room, or pack everything back into my car and drive around the building to get to my room— all of which could’ve been stated over the phone When he called me asking to cancel my reservation. Again, grace. A little exercise doesn’t hurt. By the grace of God, the black lady who opened the door for me, offered to help me get me and my girls into my room safely. She was an absolute godsend. Upon arriving to my handicap room, we noticed that the light by the door not only controls the light in the for the entry way, but it also controls whether or not the TV is on or off. If you want to watch TV, you have to watch TV with the lights on. Once the lights are off you no longer can watch TV. Isn’t this wonderful? The lampshades are being held together by black electrical tape. The hallways reek of dog, piss, and chlorine. The floors are sticky (fine because I wear shoes but the little ones are tough). But to top things off, there was a roach crawling on the back of my door. I give this hotel a one star rating, but if I could give it a zero I absolutely would. I’m not sure who the lady was who helped us, but she is the only reason I did not lose my shit. I also called several times to speak with Brooke, the manager— on the final call, I requested a call back— NOTHINGGG (as expected). I don’t know where to fit this in at, but there are several vehicles, broken down in parking spots, some of which appear to still have tools underneath of them as if someone runs their shop there. Others have stickers on them. A BMW also got repo’d as we were walking into the building. Anywho, this hotel is unsanitary , their customer service pathetic, and the activity in this hotel is high and disruptive. Do yourself a favor and skip this booking. Side note: I’m posting this using my cellular data because they STILL don’t have Wi-Fi. 🫠

This place had gone down pretty bad to worse. I had booked this place as I believed Wyndham properties were good! This place sucks! Unacceptable as my wife complained. The first room assigned was okay but as we entered, dog was barking loud in the adjacent room. Called desk and assigned us to another room which was fine. As we were leaving to go the front desk, we were waiting for the elevator, guess what it was not opening on that 3rd floor. A lady with a big dog told us that elevator doesn’t not work and she directed us to another elevator farther away, which was a good thing since we had our luggage. The place smells musty, secondary smoked hallway. Front desk assigned us to a 2nd room, which was on the first floor and was okay with it. As we were unpacking, my wife checked on the sheets, lo and behold, the sheets were dirty, and just prep to look perfect from the outside especially with the dim lights. My wife took a video. I had walk to the front desk and politely asked for a new linen for our room and we personally changed them. We had booked this room as smoke free, but this one my wife could smell this had been smoked before we got there! Unfortunately, it was late in the evening, tired and exhausted from our shopping, so ended up staying for the night. I didn’t have a good night sleep as I woke up early and could smell that secondary smoke in this room . Me and my wife had a bad night here in La Quinta, near Crabtree mall. The only consolation was it was close to the mall, one reason we decided to stay here, secondly because I have reward points which I used since I preferred Wyndham properties! With this experience we had with this property, you better check the “reviews “ first even if you are a preferred guest so you don’t get in this kind of hotel, filthy and disgusting place, unacceptable. This place looks good in pictures but do not be deceived by it, old new pictures. This place looks like a long term place for indigent people. This made me think twice of not going to use this particular hotel. So for all you out there planning to stay or book in this particular La Quinta Inn & Suites, think once not twice before you make that decision to stay here! Stay somewhere else! I should have read the reviews before but I did not , believing that Wyndham properties were great but this really made me feel bad about this stay and next time will be a different hotel property! It’s morning already, I think I will skip the free breakfast as I lost that appetite for this place. The night staff felt sorry but did not offer anything to compensate the unacceptable aggravating conditions!

I would strongly recommend not staying in this hotel, especially if you experience respiratory issues like asthma. I gave 2 stars because the staff was kind, but the experience itself was definitely 1 star. My reasons are as follows: 1. It smells like marijuana in the hallways and is very dirty looking. 2. The stairwell smelled like urine. 3. I stepped in urine in the hotel room while getting into bed. 4. The sheets were well worn and scratchy (they seemed to be clean, just uncomfortable). 5. The sink would not drain after washing my hands, a lever had to be pushed so it could drain. 6. The keys had issues even after being replaced by staff. 7. Both elevators had problems. On one the floor indicator was broken and the panel was dented with trash stuck inside. The other was missing a placard and had gum stuck on it. 8. The side door to the hotel is supposed to be keycard accessed, but anyone could walk in. 9. It says that it is no smoking, but someone somewhere in the building is definitely smoking something. We could smell it in the room as well. We decided to stay at the Fairfield Inn Suites next door because we were extremely uncomfortable. We couldn’t even spend one night there. Positives: 1. The staff was courteous, it was easy to checkout as quickly as we checked in and they said we would be refunded. 2. The room was spacious which was nice, sometimes hotel rooms feel cramped. 3. The location is close to the mall, restaurants, and highway. We stayed here several years ago and it was nicer then. Mainly the building itself needs a deep clean and some sort of system to enforce a smoke free environment. I don’t think that the decor is dated, it feels that way because of dirty spots on the walls and floors. The room we were in had tons of space, but the dirtiness detracted from it. I feel for the staff because they are stuck with this awful situation. I can’t imagine it’s safe for them to work in a place where they might be experiencing second hand smoke. There should be an investment in hiring more cleaning personnel or to develop a system that encourages employees that perform well (wage increases, promotions, etc). A lot of potential, but overall unsafe hygienically and unsafe with security. Please don’t bring children here.
