I guess 1-Star is a must. 0 really should be an option, Google.
Let me make this clear. I checked in on 5/20/24 after 8pm. I finally made it to my somewhere around 9pm. Had to come back downstairs because the door would not open. The front desk agent (Ashanti) lovely person, came up to assist me. She's a sweetheart of a person. I finally ordered food, had a meeting and crashed for the night. I should have inspected the room of this bates motel.
I woke up the next morning to verify my late checkout, this was confirmed. I pulled back the comforter to get up and shower and my my my, would you believe I slept on BLOODY sheets all night. absolutely skin crawling. I jumped up, checked myself, took pictures and proceeded downstairs. Front desk supervisor was also nice, darling of a person. apologized and apologized. moved me to another room. I never saw the manager up to this point. I let them know I would be reporting this to corporate and ownership. Housekeeping manager came by and apologized.
I move to my next room. lights do not work, but oh well...the sheets are clean. next day I report the incident to Corporate (no one has the information to provide for ownership). Lies! Wyndham Corp. insists I go and speak with Brooke Frame & the issues began. After being told by the front desk supervisor Brooke would most likely not speak with me, I insisted Brooke had no choice as she's the general manager and a paying customer who slept on bloody sheets in this hitchhiker's motel would like to speak with her.
Enters into the doorway - this privileged white woman who probably has one black friend and one hispanic friend to sell she has street credit appears in the doorway, but would not approach the counter. Disrespectful as all get out. Stands there calling me "Aye" and "Hey" and "Excuse Me" neither of which I checked in under. I finally raise my head from looking at my phone (recording the incident as I had done with everyone I interacted with post seeing the blood). She rants about how I can get out of her hotel since it's not good enough for me. How she "got my little customer complaint" sawed of cuss she was. Angry with the world that she works in what looks like the new Gaza. I ask this Brooke person if she's mad I reported the conditions, she says no, I ask why she even brought it up. No good answer, of course, other than she's angry I reported it. She then emphatically tells me to get out. Presuming she believes I'm one of the drugged out regulars at the hotel, and not a Senior Executive Director for a major tech company. She treated me like the "Boy" she thought I was. Out of my depth against this white woman in her hotel. Even though she had no good reason to ask me to leave other than she personally disliked my filing a complaint. Which, I guess she'll hate the complaint I still have going with corporate, the one I'm filing with the BBB after this review, the one I'm filing with the NC Attorney General & Gov. Candidate, Josh Stein. & FTC.
I want Brooke to remember a few things. Don't ever place people in a box. Don't ever think you're the smartest one in the room. Don't use race to determine how you'll treat folks. A Foul-mouth nobody, is Brooke. Anyway, she ordered her staff to call law enforcement, they did not. That said, I did! I was sick of her! You can tell she tries to use Law Enforcement to keep the black folks in line, unfortunately Brooke, this is not the 1960's we're not scared of law enforcement or the Klan. If it's the last thing I accomplish, I want new management at this hotel and I don't intend to let this go.
No apology from Brooke as it relates to sleeping on soiled-bloody sheets. she didn't give a cat's flea collar what I slept on. I disturbed her from sitting in the back hiding from the people that pay her disgusting salary while the blacks & hispanics work. Outrageous. This hotel, I saw drugs, sex, crime, the police.
Brooke will probably respond to this message and proclaim how all of this is false, unfortunately, videos and...
Read moreThe following photos and videos were taken solely for the fact that I felt threatened due to your employee verbally communicating a threat to me via your hotel phone directly to my room on 7/26/23 after getting my new keys to my room. She verbally stated that she "didn't want there to be any problems for me if she were to lose her job if I use her name as a reason" This female. She was supposed to be your front desk attendant last night and due to her negligence of not being available during her shift for over 2 hours during the hours of 11:00pm - 1:40am on the night of July 25th into the 26th, I had to order an UBER to take my asthmatic daughter (who is prescribed to take an Albuterol inhaler along with Zyrtec Allergy medications nightly before bed.) and my son to my sister's house to sleep on a couch 30 minutes away because we did not have access to our room. Our room keys would not register in the card reader. It would either not register at all or it would turn red. We tried multiple times before trying to find someone at the front desk around 11:10 After waiting 15 minutes at the front desk and no one arrived I tried to call the front desk starting at 11:25 to try to get someone to come to the front desk and no one ever came. We returned to the room at 11:46pm to retry the keys, which is shown in the following video. The night of the 24th we were in need of towels and waited around the exact same time for about 30 minutes to see if anyone would come to the front desk and no one ever came. I let that slide and told my kids we would be ok until the morning and I didn't complain because we had to evacuate due to the fire alarm being set off early that morning (7/25/23) so we weren't able to bring anything with us to my sisters, which is where he had to uber that morning due to not knowing how bad the fire was and we had no place else to go during this event. Upon arrival on 7/20/2023 around 3:22pm I was given the keys to room 431. Your elevator was (and still is) broken and that nor was any other direction given on how to get to our room. I was made to feel like I was burdening your second-shift front desk person with beautiful braids and an awful attitude just by simply inquiring on how to get to a room that I just fully paid for. Once my kids and I arrived to 431 and tried to use the keycard I heard the voice of a male ask loudly who was at the door ( This was happening in front of one of your housekeeping staff as well as another guest in the hallway ) I then apologized to him and told him that I was given the wrong key and didn't open the door even after it turned green. He asked if I was room service and I quickly said no and left to go back downstairs to try this again. Same front desk person was aggravated that i was there and told her what happened as nicely as possible away from other guest and staff. She asked me what his voice sounded like and what he looked like and if I was sure that someone was really in there. She then gave me the room key to 418 which thankfully worked. I woke up this same night around 3:19am to a woman at her dogs who were running up and down the hallway. Friday morning 7/21/2023 8:09AM this is what your breakfast looks like. Nothing was replenished and that only thing i was able to make was one Belgian waffle and 2 cups of juice. I ordered Walmart delivery on 7/21/2023 and put on the ticket to deliver to my room. Unfortunately, the delivery service left it at the front desk and I felt awful about it because it was 2 drinks for my kids and about 5 decent bags of snacks. The female asked Carlos who sadly had to walk from the atm machine to the employee area behind the front desk to hand me and my kids our bags was even apologized to by us for him having to do that. He seemed to be inconvenienced by the look on his face and I felt horrible that he had to do that little bit of...
Read moreThe website is misleading. You walk into the lobby and think, “This looks nice,” but that’s where nice ends. The lobby is the only clean area. And they use a TON of Fabuloso on there to keep it smelling decent.
There is almost ZERO service at this poorly staffed and managed hotel. I called the front desk from 6pm-9:20pm and never got an answer. There is no option to leave a message. You get asked to punch in an access code instead, which I obviously did not know or have. I had to call Wyndham’s reservation line for them to let the hotel know our arrival time and again at 9:18pm to ask for someone to come to the front desk to check us in. I could hear the phone ringing when the reservations line called, but they had the same problem I did. The person helping me said they would have to call the emergency supervisor’s number to get someone to come to the front desk.
There are A LOT of dogs staying at this hotel. It might as well be called a pet motel. I worried about a flea infestation.
The room we were in was small, definitely not like the one in the picture. Thank goodness I travel with cleaning supplies because the room was dusty and dirty and the ice ice bucket and coffee machine were NASTY! The bathtub should have been replaced if the bottom was stained or damaged, but instead there was a stuck on mat that was cracking around the drain.
There were not enough towels. There are no USB ports to charge devices. The room phone did not work, so at 11pm I tried calling the front desk again. The clerk said that he would put a note for housekeeping to drop off towels the next day and a note for maintenance to fix the phone. 4pm the next day (Saturday), still no housekeeping with towels nor maintenance to fix the phone. Called front desk. Was told to come down and get the towels from them.
Husband goes down to witness police arresting someone in the lobby. This fits with the whole aesthetic of the place since every night was filled with people partying in the back parking lot and in the rooms near the back elevator. The main elevator NEVER worked. There is almost NO sound insulation so you hear every sound from the corridor and adjacent rooms, including any movements people above you make.
Saturday night was cold so we tried to turn the heat on. The room filled with a burning smell. Went to investigate and found old fruit loops in the vent. Cleaned what I could to try to get the heat on, but some were down past the vent. So we gave up and huddled under the covers.
They do not slip your check out receipt under the door on the day you check out. You have to go to front desk for that. All the other hotels we’ve stayed at allow you to check out from your room and to leave the key cards inside. Hilton’s app allows you to check in on your phone and use it to unlock doors so no key cards needed. That’s a great option for this hotel that never has someone at front desk for check in.
Breakfast is supposed to have hot meal options like egg and some sort of breakfast meat. None of that was available. There were waffles, prepackaged fruit pies, cereal, and bagels.
This hotel looks nice online, but it does not measure up in person. It most certainly does not measure up to Wyndham standards. The area is great, but La Quinta Crabtree is definitely one to skip. Stay at one of the other hotels...
