This is our neighborhood park. At first glance the park looks decent. However, now having my child play here it is a disgrace to be called a park. Broken glass and trash in the play area, groups of people fighting and smoking within the playground area all the time, and bountiful homeless whom play no positive role here. These are just a few examples of the problems with this park.
I understand this park is merely a reflection of the people that live near by so it’s not entirely the parks and recs fault but things can be done to mitigate these issues. It’s just very disappointing to see our property taxes not being allocated to our neighborhood parks to provide a safe, clean, and secure place for our children. Read moreGreat looking park and community loves the water feature. Just be aware that nobody is guaranteed to get in to use the water feature. There is a capacity limit enforced and this includes people in the gated area, but not getting wet or wanting to be anywhere close to the water. People can go in the gated area, set up on the grass in the corner and sit all day without using the water feature and prevent others from getting in. My husband called the police the police game explained to the lady it's of public park and you can't buy the whole park, My husband showed his permit, for our bounce house and permission to be at the park.
Lady backed off. We waited in line for the water park to find out that the pipes were broken and it wasn't going to work and all of the people party of 20 that brought bathing suits we got to play on a bounce house and no water park.
