I have a Google Pixel 7 Pro about 4 months out of warranty and the ear speaker died. It can make calls but I can only hear the other party if I put it on speakerphone.
So, I took my phone to the Citrus Heights store, prepaid about $95, and was told by Denise they'd call me when the part came in. (No diagnostic done at all) I asked how long they'd need the phone and was told a few hours, the longer the better for the seal to dry.
So the part comes in and I drop my phone off at noon but the lady working tells me to come back after 5pm. No problem. I show up about 5:30 and she says come back at 6pm as it turns out the phone isn't even there but they took it elsewhere to fix it. About 6:30 Serg pulls up and has my phone. I pick it up and head home but I try to make a test call and the speaker doesn't work so I make a U-turn. When I arrive at 6:45pm the store was closed even though the sign says they close at 7pm honestly it didn't even look like they did anything as the phone was still on the hard reset splash screen.
The next day I drive back in and am told they'll order another part, it could be a bad speaker but there is some corrosion and they'd like a micro soldering specialist to check traces. I agree and a couple days later I drop it off at the rancho store and pick it up again after 7pm. The speaker still doesn't work and there's wet glue on the phone like it was literally just slapped back together as I walked in.
I get home and that night a super bright white/green vertical stripe 1/4" wide along the left edge appears. I call the next day and am told "yah, sometimes the screen shorts out on the metal frame. We'll fix it."
So I head back in to talk to Serg and figure out what's going on. I'm now told I need a $270 screen (which wasn't broke before I took my phone in) and guess what? My ear speaker still doesn't work. I got a "I'll talk to the owner"
I have this ghetto looking phone with a huge bright stripe down one side and I can only talk on speakerphone and I still owe $650 after paying $100 to get it...
Read moreSo my son cracked the screen of his Samsung s5, and when it wouldnt act right he would hard reset it to the point it had a malfunction and would loop til the battery died. WELL we got tired of that and with my son not having a phone has caused some issues. So we did some googling and found this store. The staff was very attentive, they asked what they could do for us. We gave them the phone and they price checked how much replacing the screen would be. My wife and I browsed and were debating amongst ourselves if we should buy a phone for our middle son who recently started walking home from school. We found a Samsung J2 for $40 as we were looking at the Samsungs. The very nice woman from the desk came to us with the rough estimate of $90 to replace the screen. My wife had recently (2 days ago) upgraded her phone and decided that she would give the oldest her old phone (J3 Prime) and get the J2 we had seen. The sold us a charging cable for it and we bought a few extra cords for our other phones and a few other needed accessories.
Pros = reasonable prices on their phones. Memory cards we found were 64 GB for $14.99 which is super nice. This looks like a phone store unlike the CPR phone repair store near Lowes. If you love Iphones, this is your store. Theres cases for iphones everywhere. They have speakers and smart watches too!
Cons - They dont have a big selection on samsung phones and phone cases for samsung phones. They have about 90% Apple products, Theyve a huge selection on iphones etc.
We did purchase one of their phones and went over to Metro and there was no issues with the phone. Phone was not blacklisted or had any issues. My stepson LOVES his new phone and pretty excited to have a phone now. They also gave a 7-14 day return policy if there was any issues we could return it.
Overall we loved the shop and will be back if there is any future needs when it comes...
Read moreI have been going to First Response Phone Repair since they first opened. It's the only place i go to for any phone issue, repairs, i have bought a used iphone in perfect condition before at a very good price (cheap) also the main reason i go there is for screen protectors. They are amazing quality, (just as good as the overpriced ones at the apple store) only difference is the price. Anytime someone mentions to me anything phone issue related, I always recommend First Response Phone Repair. Every single employee that works there is so kind, helpful, and always gives great customer service. Now with that being said, yesterday i went there right before closing, and the gentleman that was working there had a few phones to finish up before he could help me, (im sure he wanted to go home it was the end of the day & i had two phones that needed service) but still he was still managed to squeeze me in. He was the most kind, and helpful guy. He helped me find a better option for what i needed within my price range, because i was on a budget. He went above and beyond when it came to his customer service. Unfortunately he does not work at this location, and was only filling in for someone, but everyone that works there are super nice and you cannot beat their prices.
Thank you so much KYLE for all of your help yesterday i truly...
