Had dinner here Tuesday night. We've had fish and chips at other restaurants throughout the years, some good and some not so good. The fish and chips we had here are the absolute best we've ever had. They were so delicious, and cooked perfectly! The portions were generous as well. It may be awhile before we try other foods on their menu because we'll want to keep ordering the fish and chips! The service was great and for a large place that atmosphere still seemed warm and inviting. The only negative was that from where we sat we could see windows and they were very dirty.
UPDATE 8/22/2024 we have eaten here several times now. I have had the fish and chips several times now. We went again last night because I was craving the fish and chips. I was very disappointed. The portions of fish seemed smaller, shaped like squares and was overcooked and dry. The time before this time the fish was overcooked and dry as well but it was the first time so I chalked it up to the chef having an off day. But I guess the light and flakey batter and moist fish is gone. However we had a few of their other dishes and they were very good. As always the service is great and the atmosphere pleasant. We'll still be going back but I am on the hunt once again for great...
Read moreHad my cousins baby shower this past weekend. Only thing I regret is not writing a review sooner! Mainly because I'll butcher/forget names. We had it in the upstairs function room. Everyone from the Function Manager Kristen, to server Karen to the upstairs bartendress, to the downstairs bartendress Kayla were all amazing. Went WAY above and beyond. From timing the food to be brought out (which was an hour later than expected) they were all nothing short of amazing, no joke. Ive served and bartended myself and I know how hard it can be. Also how difficult they can be. I wouldnt say we're a difficult bunch, but definetly a handful lol. They all handled us gently and efficiently. Great great great service and all done with a smile and a joke. If youre looking for a place to hold your function, birthday, anniversary, reception, whatever the need.. This place has got amazing food and quick service. Its also connected to Ryan's Bowling! So I was able to take my nieces in there to distract while everyone else did presents. Played some arcade games and bowling. Ryan's was also just as courteous! Xoxoxoxo. Will definetly be coming back, for...
Read moreNot a positive experience. I took my cousin bowling and we decided to order food from the Jockey Club, adjacent to the bowling establishment. This was a mistake. I ordered the Shepherds Pie. Upon delivery of the food I was dismayed to see my $18 entree served in a cheap styrofoam container. When I opened the container I was very disappointed as the food looked anything but appetizing, and the portion was very small. Being hungry I went ahead and eat the food. Very average fare. Not terrible but certainly nothing memorable. I expected much more, especially at the price of $18. When the waitress came with the bill I explained my discontent. She seemed uninterested with my concerns and offered no positive suggestions. I paid the bill in full and made it clear to this woman that we will not patronize this restaurant in the future. She acted as if she could care less. My cousin and I will return to bowl , we will never order Jockey Club food again. The quality of the food is meager, the portions are much too small. If you are on Route 44 in Raynham and are hungry, find another restaurant. You are wasting your money at...
