Tehama County Arts Council — Attraction in Red Bluff

Hours are 10-3 on Saturday. Went to the last day of a showing, arriving at 10:15. Unfortunately, I had only become aware of the show the evening before or I would have gone sooner . More than half the art was taken down already and they were packing up the rest while we were there. The artist I had gone to see only had 6 pieces out and they were in the window, not very accessible to get a good look at, and those pieces were being packed up. We did not feel welcome, more like we were intruding on the clean up process. Very disappointing How can we be expected to support local arts if the shows are not run...

I walked in to by a piece of art. I was asked “why was I there?” When I said I wanted to look around and buy something, they conceded and allowed it. When I had my art piece picked out, I walked up to the 2 workers. I waited, while the two women just chatted and when they were done, they proceeded to do other things, one walking right past me and not acknowledging me at all. I then had to ask if I was purchasing it there or if I was supposed to call the artist.
