We first met Michael 3 years ago when the frame of my husband's glasses broke. We walked into the office of an optometrist to see if he could fix them. As he was unable to assist, he suggested we go see Michael. Michael was happy to help and was able to repair the frames that day.

Recently I brought my engagement ring, my mother's wedding band and another ring to Michael. My platinum engagement ring had really lost its luster, it was dull and had many scratches, in addition it needed two bridges to be built up around two small diamonds. My mother's white gold ring had also become dull looking and the third ring was missing two small diamonds that had fallen out over the years and needed to be replaced. Micheal specializes in platinum so I was confident he'd do a great job on my engagement ring. When I picked up the rings, I could not believe how beautiful they looked. They looked brand new! You can tell he is passionate about the quality of his work. This post is long overdue!! I am so sorry!! My now husband and I went into Michael Dickey Design to get my engagement ring custom sized at the beginning of this year. My husband purchased my ring at a jewelry retail store in a mall and they would have to send the ring out and I would have to wait I think 2 or 3 weeks to get it back. It seems most jewelry stores have a set size they will set your ring to. A 5.5 was too big for me, and a size 5 would be too small. I could have gotten it sized at the retail store at a 5.25 but they didn't have any way for me to measure to see if that would fit. I wanted to obviously try what it would feel like before sending my ring out. Thank God my husband and I found Michael Dickey Design in Redlands!! Mr. Dickey custom sized my ring in less than one hour. He allowed me to watch the process and even let me try the ring a couple of times as he was trying to get the right size to let me see what I thought and how it felt! Michael made an engagement ring for me recently. Bottom line, you'll find no one better in the area. He has an immense amount of knowledge and expertise that can help you if you are unsure about anything you want and will help you to get the ring, or other jewelry I suppose, that you had in mind. It was easy to communicate what I wanted and he was very good at telling me what would work and what would not in order made one of the finest rings I've seen.
