I can't believe it but I think I've been a patient of Doctor August for about 30 years. When he was not in the office during covid I saw Doctor Joshi. I have also treated with Dr. Joshi for various surgical procedures. Both doctors are excellent and have amazing bedside manner and demonstrate a lot of compassion and care for their patients.
I typically see Dr. August who also took care of my parents for many years. Each time I see doctor August, he remembers important details from my life, which makes me feel even more comfortable during the appointments.
I cannot rave enough about how wonderful the entire office is. They always demonstrate a tremendous amount of care. I've had many tests done here including visual field test and optic nerve testing. I am always taken in to see the doctor on time and the only waiting I ever need to do is after they've dilated my eyes.
Both doctors explain any test or procedure there going to do which also reduces any anxiety. I cannot recommend this office and these two doctors enough. Thank you so much for all the help you've given me and my parents through the...
Read moreMet with Dr. Aarchan Joshi in October, 2024 and he said that I had the beginnings of a cataract. He said that he prefers to be conservative and not do surgery unless necessary. My follow-up appt was in April, 2025. The same picture of my eye from my previous appt was displayed. Joshi walked in and said I definitely needed surgery. When I asked him why his diagnosis was different from before, he just left the room saying that they would run more tests. By the end of the three hour appt., he said that I needed cataract surgery in both eyes and wanted to perform it the following week. He also recommended an extremely costly lens and said the surgery would be more expensive due to the size of my eyeballs. I decided to have my eyes checked at the UCLA Stein Eye Institute. The doctor said that the cataracts were not impacting my vision and I definitely did not...
Read moreThe ladies at the front desk here are very rude. This office will charge you for a no show when you forget. They promised me they would send me a reminder and never did. Then they charged me a $25 fee which I think is unethical for a medical office. The woman in charge at the front desk told me very rudely…that I could pay or leave. Of course I left and I would never go back there! They also charged me money for a mask last year! Again, a lady at the front was very rude to me then. Obviously, they are either desperate for money or just very greedy. It’s too bad because I thought the doctor,Dr Liu was fairly good. Shame on Providence! I think they are part of Providence...
