Coyote Cantina — Restaurant in Redondo Beach

I absolutely adore this place!! It's a 30+ minute drive for me, but it's worth every ounce of stress. The service has been amazing every time I've ever been there, and as someone who did well over a decade and a half of customer service, I think the world of their staff. The prices aren't bad at all for location and quality, and their happy hour and taco Tuesday discounts are very nice, especially in comparison to all the other equivalent restaurants in the area! Their $1 taquitos are sublime and their margaritas... Chef's kiss they're basically my idea of the perfect margarita, perfectly smooth and strong as all get out (I'm not a lightweight at all, but 1 margarita had me moderately tipsy). They have great chips and all sorts of fun hot sauces to try, though if you're a spice lightweight you may want to be cautious of the table salsa. My only regret is that I can't eat more than a tiny bit of the salsa because my mouth starts burning almost immediately (though no one else in my friends group has the slightest issue with the spice level, so I'm probably an anomaly). This place is truly a hidden gem! I have been coming here for over a decade and am never disappointed! This past Taco Tuesday was great, as always! Tacos and tortilla soup are my favorite Tuesday go-to...along with the award-winning house margarita - the absolute best...but the Silver Lightening is even better! I strongly suggest people try the salads and the fusion part of the menu - the pasta dishes are amazing! Pasta California, Lasagna, the bosillios, ravioli - all freshly made locally. Also, the family size portions in this restaurant are HUGE. Even the kid -sized portions! We ordered half sized portions but even those were too big! Lots of leftovers! Decently priced and vegetarian-friendly.

The margaritas are great but very 💪🏾 strong. Please do not ask for a double tequila shot, haha too strong.

My salad had more beans and cheese than lettuce so I am feeling SO full. Maybe, next time I split the salad with my hubby? My daughter got a huge burrito and that was the kids sized portion (welcome to America or is it like this in Mexico too, I wonder?) . Very dog friendly spot with a patio -...
