The BARC Park is amazing. Totally worth the small annual fee. They have a large (+30 lbs.) and small dog park, so whatever your furry friend's size, there's a place for you. Our pup is classified as small, so she can go into either park, which we do, depending on which park has pups in it. Don't worry: she's got "big dog" energy. We started going and the other fur-parents made us feel right at home. Rarely, if ever, is the park in a bad condition. Although the grass can get a little high in the summer, it's no worse than walking around the neighborhood. The Baltimore County staff keeps the park in reasonable shape considering the large size. The only downside is parking. The lot is dedicated for BARC Park members, but other people have a tendency to take over the parking for other events in the area. Not sure what, if anything, can be done there short of having the vehicles towed away. This is only a problem during football season and only after school hours. It's an inconvenience, but not a deal breaker. The application process has gotten even easier with a new website and quick approval process. We plan on signing back up in February (the year for the park runs Feb-Jan) for another year of fun for our little one.

This place has such a great community of people. They have really helped me learn how to be a better dog mama. The area is well kept and everyone is good about picking up after their pup. It's my fur babies favorite place... I imagine it's like Cheers for canines.

Not a great place to bring your dog. The park rules are ignored. Most owners do not monitor their dogs. Lots of unchecked pack mentality, barking and growling. We were rushed by three large dogs as soon as we opened the gate. The owners were off talking amongst eachother while their dogs ran into the bullpin area. Tons of dog waste. I saw a sick animal with pretty severe diarrhea. I was growled at by two dogs. And the large dog side is a giant mud pit. This is unlike any dog park I've been at. It might be good if you are part of the click and your dog is a part of the pack. It's not...

Today was my first visit since we had actually signed up to be part of this part. Outlaw had a blast it was a little too humid for his liking so he got lazy pretty quick and we weren't there more than 15 minutes. I will say though I can't wait to go back again with him this was our first time and environment where other dogs were and he did super awesome he played and even drink out of the same water bowl. The park itself was very nice! The grass was cut, plenty of dog bags and lots of space...
