Alot of Empty stores here but the signs from the street indicate a thriving area when it is more like a ghost town. Without the Tom Thumb Grocery store I don't think even the "Papa John's Pizza" would not make it & they are busy, but personally I think it is bland mediocre pizza at best.
The Tom Thumb has a poor selection compared to just about any other I have seen & Managers change faster than their names on the wall & print outs. I was recently told by 1 Store Manager reduced to assistant manager that the location is 1 of the slowest foot traffic stores in the chain & he was reduced in his job position because he insisted on throwing out Meats & Vegetables to keep the food & produce Fresh when Corporate told him not to because the store was borderline profitable, his replacement Managers "NEW IDEA" of a "PLAN" is to Stock 4 casses of Sale items in the flyers instead of the much needed 10 or more cases of items in the flyers that they know will be sold out hours before the end of each day & So, The "New Plan" is to restock over night & run out by lunchtime & thus not have the sale items that cost more than they sell them for to get people in the door. Since the Pandemic Crisis Stores are not giving out rain checks & So, they really do not care about the Customers anymore. Don't be surprised if it is hard to find more than 2 cashiers only to learn 1 of the cashiers is being pulled off his regular Job in the store. If you want Customer Service, expect a Cashier to have someone paged for yours.
Understocked & Understaffed that is the Plan to try & turn this Location Profitable. I have Owned My Own Companies My Entire Adult Life & this Management Plan is A Recipe that will End in Total Failure probably when there Lease Obligations Run Out or can be Broken. Plan on haveing to make a Secound Stop to get everything you need for the week. IF Your looking For Freshness, Or Specific Advertised items, this is probably not the place to go. I gave it 2 Stars because Some items are probably there because they have no place else to store them in the system. You may find items that you won't find in other locations like Furniture & things you leave outside in your yard. Wells Fargo left & BBVA in there place couldn't make it & just moved out, there is some other business unrelated to Grocery Stores that is rarely open + oddly located by the Beer & Wine wall & in the middle of the building & honestly aside from maybe hearing aids, I am not even sure what they are even here in the...
Read moreI like to shop at Tuesday Morning, The Hallmark Store and Tom Thumb here. I also do business at the UPS store occasionally and order pizza from Pappas Pizza here. Tom Thumb's over the counter off brand medications are very affordable and cheaper as compared to CVS Pharmacy's prices. Their Pharmacy is very well run. Their pies are really, really good. A half apple pie is $4.99 but I found it in the back with their clearance items marked dow to $1.99. A whole pie is $9.99. What a bargain! Their Lucerne and Safeway brand items are cheaper and just as good as any name brand item. If you shop smart at Tom Thumb you dont need to go to a cheaper grocery store for...
Read moreI was only shopping for about 10 items on an evening. It was not crowded but there were several people coming and going. Since it was later at nite, most others were not buying full carts. I passed by a few people and everyone was very friendly and polite. The grocery store was well lit, clean, and well stocked. I went to a cashier to check out and after putting in my phone for my ID, she rang everything up, totaled it. All the digital sale items I clicked at home gave me the sale price. No problems with wrong prices at this store! I think I will...
