I have been going to this location for the last 2 years. I have recently received the worst costumer service in my life from this store manager.
I was trading in my PS3 games, Console, and a few PS4 games. one of the games i had was never open and didnt know that gamestop wouldn't take the game. when i asked the employee about it He said it was company policy. I continued to ask more questions about it just to get some clarification the employee stated its because unopen games have the higher likely to be stolen. (i can see that logic)
While i was waiting i saw one of my friends who asked what i was trading in i went over all the games and told him except this one (holding up the on open one) they think i stole it. The other employee started going off on me about it. I interrupted him saying i was joking around and understood everything he was saying. The employee stated that i was very rude since in interrupted him and demanded an apologize for interrupting him. I asked to speak with his manager since i didn't like his customer service attitude which he informed me that he was the manager. Today I had the worst experience ever buying a brand new console for myself. The moment I mentioned I was going to try to buy a brand new PlayStation 5 I was met with resistance and with the person behind the counter constantly making me feel it would be a better choice if I bought a used refurbished console. When I further declined they continue to persuade me. I stood my ground and when I decided not to buy the warranty they continued to list all of the reasons why I would be a good idea to get the warranty. They went so far as to mention our power grid issues. Then when I decided not to buy any games. They insinuated that I was just going to just download games and then continued to spout conspiracies about the fact that gaming companies are allowing games to disappear from online stores. Every single second of this transaction, I was met with resistance. Read moreAttempted to exchange a game I bought for my daughter for her birthday. At the time I purchased 3 games and a sweater. One of the games ended up being a game I previously bought for her (All from gamestop). I tried to exchange it for credit or another game but the girl at the store wasn't having it. She basically said I didn't buy it from them since I didn't have my receipt. She was harping on the fact that it was not on my gamestop account (which I didn't log into at time of purchase). Her solution was to open the game and sell it back to them for $30 when I paid $59.99 for it lol. I did buy it online and it was delivered straight from the store by a 3rd party left on my porch in a gamestop bag (no box). I've been using gamestop for the last 25 years. We've spent thousands buying multiple systems, games, clothing ect. You can't tell me a 5.6 billion dollar company can't find a purchase I made a few weeks ago.
