TLDR Long story short there are ROACHES here and the service is bad. Went here with my girlfriend for a dinner date and had the Valentines dinner which is a 4 course meal for $70 per person.
Service: our waitress would constantly give us the wrong dish. She messed up my order twice and forgot to give us bread at the start. Guess we’ll just eat the butter on its own. As someone who worked as a server in the past I can say with absolute confidence that she was horrible and threw off the experience. This isn’t a McDonald’s act the part of a quality restaurant. It may have just been that one server however as I never needed to ask for them for the correct dishes as the other server would catch the mistakes right after and fix it for us. I’ll give this place a two stars instead of a one as the person refilling water was always there and I never had an empty glass of water, unlike other restaurants where you have to constantly ask for more water. Which is nice because I had to wash down the horrible tasting salad and salmon.
I ordered the smoked salmon, Caesar salad, bistecca fiorentina, and Tiramisu for dessert.
Smoked salmon was not the best and there was an extremely salty taste causing me to gag.
The toasted bread that should’ve been out before got delivered in between the salmon and salad. It’s bread not much to say.
Caesar salad was absolutely drenched in dressing making it impossible to eat.
Bistecca fiorentina did not taste like the ones I’ve had in the past. It was cooked all the way through and not medium rare.
It was at this point that my girlfriend noticed the roach on the floor that climbed onto the wall next to us. And where there’s one there’s usually more.
Tiramisu was alright but nothing could save dinner at this point.
For a dinner that I paid $180 total for two it was unacceptable the service and dishes we got. I would stay far away from this...
Read moreMy wife and I were in the mood for Italian and didn’t want to go to the Olive Garden. So after searching online we ran across this place. My review is as such
Atmosphere: Upon entering I gotta say they really did capture the aura of a quite Italian restaurant here. The only thing missing was the red checkered table cloth and the Cianti bottle with a candle in it. The crowd was mostly older which I loved because it was quiet. It was most enjoyable.
Service: this was the best part of the visit in my opinion. Our waiter (who I must admit I didn’t catch his name) was amazing. We wanted for nothing while there. And they had a lovely woman whose only purpose was to make sure you never ran out of water. We tipped well and can honestly say that it was nice to be catered too after so many bad experiences with the late teens early 20s waiter who could give a damn less if you’re there or not.
Food: I grew up in West Virginia and trust me when I say we have a ton of Italian people that live there. Picture the Sopranos with a bunch of rednecks in the back ground, So in a way I have been spoiled by their cuisine. I can whole heartedly say I was not impressed with the food. My wife had chicken Alfredo and I had the Tortellini. Now call me a glutinous American here but the portions were entirely too small. Also there Alfredo sauce (which I will say is incredibly hard to find a good one) didn’t really have a cheese flavor too it. It almost had more of a chicken base taste. My wife was I love with their cream of jalapeño soup.
All in all it was ok, I might give it another try to test their red sauce. But all in all. I feel there are probably better options when it comes to Italian food. But give it a whirl and you be the judge. After all this just an opinion and not fact. Bone...
Read moreAtmosphere was nice and enjoyed the food but our very disappointed with the service from our waiter. We went late when things weren’t too busy, but our waiter waited a long time to take our orders and then to bring drinks and later after we finished eating we waited a long time fir checks and then waited a long time again to get the check picked up again. (Was noticing the time, and it was over a full 30 min between when we finished eating and when he came and checked on us and we asked for check.) He never apologized for taking a long time or said he was busy and would need time to get back to us. Just didn’t seem interested in doing his job and didn’t seem to care how our experience was. I got there after the rest of my party had, right as the others were ordering, so needed a few more minutes to look at menu, but then the waiter was taking forever to come take my order so I got the attention of waitress nearby and she came and took my order and brought me my drink and then when we told her the others hadn’t gotten their drinks yet (although they’d ordered at least 10 min before me) she went and got their drinks right away. She also checked on us a couple times while we were eating and overall took better care of us than our assigned waiter. She definitely helped redeem the experience. But our experience with the waiter definitely made us hesitant about going back...
