If this and all the other bad reviews below don't turn you away, just about nothing will. If your looking, do yourself a favor and move on. Their office staff have no idea what is going on. You must go there in person since their phone lines have been down for (as far as I know) 2 weeks. The office staff are completely rude (except the newest gal, she actually seemed like a decent human). With all that said, let me tell you about my insane experience with this place:
My girlfriend and I go in and we're interested in their 3B unit. The manager with blonde hair helped us. They didn't have any to show us, but said one would be available the next day. She wrote the price down on their floor-plan sheet. We asked if they'd honor the price (since prices change so rapidly around here), and she said yes. She then asked if we wanted to see a smaller unit that they had available. We looked. When we returned we asked what other fees added up to. She wrote them down, on the sheet of paper, and then wrote down a unit number that she planned to show us the next day.
We return the next day, she is busy, and sends the nice new girl to show us the apartment. We weren't impressed, and left. That night we were reviewing our options and realized they showed us the wrong apartment.
We return the next day, and they realize the mistake. As it turns out, they recently renamed and redid their database, and someone screwed up in this process, and from what the office staff said, most of the floor-plans were wrong in the system. We then see the unit we've been trying to see after 3 trips here, and we like it.
When we get back to the office they quote us hundreds of dollars more a month. We brought up, with the manager, that we had her word that she'd honor the price. She admitted to this, and said she made a mistake. She said she would talk to her regional manager and get back to us.
We stop in every day (in person, because their phone system has been down this entire time... how they can't forward the phone-number to something workable is beyond me...) until they finally have an answer, and that answer is no. I bring up with the manager that she promised us, and we have it in writing, and she outright denied saying she would honor the deal. Note, this is after saying she would, then backtracking and saying it was a mistake, and now-- outright saying she never said it.
Another girl in the office (Alysa?), chimed in at me reasonably trying to get something done, and very rudely says "we said no, that's the answer." I then try to explain the situation, and she kept cutting me off, with answers that made me realize that she didn't actually know the full story. Every time I tried to explain the timeline of what happened, she would cut me off before I could finish and sentence and wouldn't let me speak. Very childish, unprofessional, and with complete disregard to decency. After being cut off the 5th time, I asked her to let me finish a sentence, or what I was saying before she interjected, and she asked me to leave. I then requested to speak with the regional manager that made the decision. I was told that wasn't possible. I then explained that I had the regional managers number, and was going to call her, and the non-manager girl said "you should leave."
At this point, I tried calling the regional (direct, and through the management company), and did not receive an answer. The manger snuck out the back the door of the office. While I was calling the regional manager, an off-duty officer comes in and says "the office staff asked you to leave, and if you don't, you'll be charged with trespassing." I was completely baffled. I contemplated trying to explain the situation, but realized it wasn't worth it, and this guy had no stake in the game, and wouldn't care. As I left the manager was looking at me, covering her mouth, and laughing. I've never gone through any treatment like this in my life. These folks don't deserve your business, or mine.
Mistakes are understandable. Lying and "bait &...
Read moreFirst of all, I have NEVER left a review on anything (apartment, restaurant, salon, anything) because I know it's biased towards my particular experience which might not be fair. I feel strongly about writing this mostly for safety.
I have lived here for 2 years. I have not had issues of hearing my neighbors as others have. I am giving them 2 stars instead of 1 because everything was status quo until a few months ago when I realized the lack of action on behalf of management quite honestly was a safety concern to me as well as other current and prospective residents.
Security is my issue. A few months back, the roof of my convertible was slashed. I paid extra for garage parking. I went to the leasing office to explain what happened and ask if there were cameras in this area that I pay extra for. There are not. I was told it must be someone who had ill will towards me. I explained I literally know 2 people in the area besides my immediate family so that was not case. The manager said "wow that's really scary let the police know. Also, you can rent an actual garage space (which is like a closed door garage at a house as opposed to just the covered garage parking I had and an extra $50 per month)". Went through the motions of filling out a police report even though I knew there was nothing they could. The officer said the slash was NOT an attempted burglary because 1. I had nothing visible in my car and 2. How the roof was slashed was NOT an attempt to get into the car, just to cause damage. Told this to the leasing office, nothing was changed.
I was fortunate enough to be able to switch vehicles with a family member for the duration of my lease because I was afraid that I would get my roof fixed and it would happen again. I say that I am fortunate because I have since seen 2 other convertibles with their roofs slashed after my incident.
I have NOT seen an increase in presence by their "courtesy officer" or even something as simple installing video cameras around the parking areas. It is my personal opinion that a person who is willing to vandalize a complete stranger's car is dangerous and capable of a lot worse. But I know management does not seem to care. If it happened to just me, sure it's a fluke, sucks for me. But, since I have seen 2 other cars damaged and no change I realized safety is is an issue and I have decided to no renew my lease.
I am also not roaming the parking lot looking for damaged cars - these are 2 cars that are near me by coincidence in open parking (because I no longer pay extra for the garage since it clearly no safer) - so there might be more than what I've seen. But I know there has been ZERO steps to remedy this besides "hey pay more for the actual closed garage space."
Rent here is not cheap - it is advertised as "luxury apartment" - I believe more credence should be paid to ensuring the safety of their tenants.
While that is clearly my main issue and why I urge no one to rent at Greenvue, here are a few extra complaints. We are charged extra each month for things we can't get out of. Valet trash for instance - sure it's nice to just stick out your trash but for $26 a month I am totally cool walking to a dumpster. The package room - $5 a month and annoying as hell. 3/4 of the time I don't get an access code and spend 15 minutes on the phone with the 3rd party host Luxor one. It was WAY more convenient for FedEx to show up to my door with my package than have to walk to a different building to get my stuff (which sometimes is super heavy and really fricken sucks). And honestly it wouldn't piss me off as much if they weren't separate line items in my monthly statement - make my rent an extra $31 per month, but don't charge me for things I can't opt out of.
I hope my novel was enlightening for anyone who reads this, like I said my first time doing this so wanted to give all the facts.
I also think it is VERY telling that management only responds to the positives reviews to say "thanks" and not address any of the issues the negative reviews...
Read moreThis is by far the most disappointing place I've lived. I've lived in this complex for more than 2 years now, but when it was moved under BH Management, things went terribly. They implemented parking rules that created very limited parking for residents in my building, forcing me to park on the other side of the complex with regularity when I previously experienced no issue trying to find a place to park.
The office staff continually takes extended periods of time to answer questions via email and do not do more than the minimal effort to help in their response - often completely ignoring the issue at hand and just shrugging it off with a quick apology but no follow through to actually help.
I've regularly had issues with noisy neighbors upstairs because of a lack of soundproofing, and the management staff will not do anything about it. The bottom floor of my building regularly floods near the entry doors, and they have done nothing to fix it. Maintenance staff came into my apartment without giving me prior notice as requested, and they left cigarette butts on my balcony. When I left that in survey feedback, the management staff simply denied that anyone on the staff would have done such a thing and did not follow up on the issue further.
The elevator started functioning very slowly at the beginning of May, and I reported it but nothing was done about it. The elevator stopped working altogether on May 30th, and I reported it, but the office staff took more than a week to respond in writing to that service request. Here we are on July 8th, and the elevator has still not been fixed, and is not projected to be fixed until July 12th - at the earliest (they've already provided one date for having it fixed and then did not follow through on that). I am set to move out soon, and I have furniture that will not fit down the stairs because of how the staircase is stacked on itself, so I must use the elevator to move out, and when I brought this to the attention of the office staff, the manager simply replied "We're counting on the elevator to be fixed, but in the event that it is not, your furniture should fit" without any actual inquiry into what I have or plans for contingency or anything. The fact that the ONLY elevator in the building has been non-functional for more than 6 weeks is entirely unreasonable and absolutely unprofessional, not to mention it is a serious violation of fire code. I would urge people to start contacting the fire marshal about this.
Additionally, because the elevator is not properly functioning, our valet trash service has been slacking as well. On several occasions since the elevator has been out of service, my trash has not been picked up and has been left sitting out in the heat. This occurred so often that nearly every resident on my hallway had multiple bags of trash (some of which had been there for more than a week) sitting outside of their doors creating a health concern. Residents got fed up with this enough that they started taking their own trash down to the trash building, and the trash piled up to almost 3 feet high from the ground in the entire building because the office staff did not contact the city to have it collected in a timely manner, causing serious health risks.
I have yet to move out, but I have heard this company charges astronomical fees for cleaning after you have left the residence, so I preemptively requested a walk through before I turn over keys to the apartment, but that request has so far been ignored. I am dreading whatever ridiculousness they will try to create for an excuse to charge more fees.
I've had several more issues than this, but I am so sick of living in this place because of having to deal with incompetent and unhelpful office and management staff that I will end this review here.
Please find somewhere else to live if you're going to pay this much. It is absolutely not worth your time or your headache...
