The menu is no frills. They don't have Arabic Salad or tabouli. I got the beef shawarma because I didn't want garlic sauce. It comes with tahini and pickles. The taste was ok. The meat wasn't old but it didn't taste super fresh. The flavor was good and the crispiness of the wrap. I was hungry so I devoured it. The hummus is a disappointment. I would never order it from here again. The portion size is decent but it just ..... isn't phenomenal. The kibbeh didn't look great. You can tell that it wasn't made the day I ordered it. There were some texture issues on the outside. But the taste of it was good. I enjoyed the kibbeh and would order it again. I waited.... 18 minutes for my food. I was starved. There was one family ahead of me. The wait time ...... makes me rethink coming here. The good thing was the shawarma was not greasy and had good flavor. The kibbeh had good flavor. The dining room was clean. The bathroom.... Was not. There is only one room for the bathroom so there is no separate ladies room and the urinal is right next to the toilet and it just felt weird. I really felt like I shouldn't have been using the bathroom in there. I'm 8 months pregnant so it was something I couldn't avoid .... As much as I want to support our local businesses, these things make it hard to write a good review. I don't know if anyone had checked the bathroom the entire night. I don't think I would go back again unless everything was closed since they're open late.

Firstly.. When you walk in, the girl at the counter had slight attitude, and would whisper to the point we couldn’t hear her. When we would as her to repeat herself, she’d act like we were annoying. She wasn’t big on answering questions.. it was our first time. We didn’t know how they did their food besides the few pictures they have up. Second, this may not be a problem for y’all… but I HATE not having a fountain drink choice, or at least free endless water. You can only purchase coke cans and water bottles. They have a fountain machine, but the lady at the counter said they don’t do it any longer because it’s broken. Third. The food. My Gyro sandwich with fries wasn’t bad at all. The fries were crisp and flavorful. The sandwich was perfect. However, my s/o’s food was incorrect and had way too much sauce. He had the Beef Shawarma over rice. They didn’t include the pickles like in the picture, and again, the sauce was globbed on there instead of drizzled. The salad that was included in it was smaller than the picture and had no dressing, even on the side. However, the hummus and bread is pretty good, and you get a good serving portion, which is great since you pay $4. Fourth. No one called out our order. The guy came and found us like we weren’t listening and seemed a bit annoyed. May come back later for one more chance, may not. We have no idea yet. Hoping to update this review one day.

Visited summer 2022 I have visited Abu Omar’s food trucks and they are quite good but the restaurant not so much. I ordered the chicken Arabi combo. The girl working the cash register was a bit rude and literally was on her phone as she was taking my order. She also gave me a weird look when I asked her how long it would take for the food to come out. Now to the food. I was a bit surprised by the portion size as the food trucks have larger sizes. The restaurant doesn’t give as much for how much it’s priced. I would definitely say it is overpriced. I also paid for an extra sauce I never got in my to go bag, was a little disappointed with that to. The food itself is pretty good. It’s not the best Arabi in Dallas but I’ve had worse. I think they have a few things to work on as a restaurant, i forgot to mention how unkept and musty the restaurant itself is. I dared to go wash my hands and was disgusted by the condition of the bathroom and the fact they didn’t have a proper lock on the door. If they can fix the environment of the inside, train staff to have better and more welcoming attitudes the food can shine better. However good food can’t compensate for bad service or a unclean restaurant.

I came in at 1:30 on a Tuesday for lunch with my girlfriend. The place wasn’t busy, only 7 people in the restaurant.

The gentleman behind the counter seemed uninterested in taking my order, and when asked what sides came with the rice bowl, he mumbled “salad, garlic”. It’s possible there was a language barrier, but a smile is virtually universal across languages, and we didn’t get a smile. The worker seemed like he didn’t want to be here, and didn’t seem to be enjoying himself.

We both ordered the chicken rice bowl, which was mediocre at best. It was delivered to our table in about 5 minutes, so super quick. They forgot the additional spicy sauce until I said something. The rice was well cooked, but the chicken was dry, overcooked, and tasted like it had been sitting out for some time. The garlic sauce was more ranch than garlic sauce, and the spicy sauce was acrid and overly bitter.

The interior of the restaurant was clean, but the music (which I did like) should have been turned down a few decibels as it was hard to hold a conversation due to the noise.

Cost for the amount of food seemed disproportionate as well. A little high for the amount of food received.

I came here instead of Madina Halal, but I should have just gone there instead. I won’t be returning or...
