Came here for my wife whom is just getting started in doing nails and getting her own salon started. Traveled here from New Mexico as there is not a store in our area that has this wide of selection of supplies and equipment. The selection was great but unfortunately checking out is where everything went down hill.
My husband is a disabled vet and has tax exempt on the sale tax for purchases. Yes I know the purchases are for a business per say but every bit of money saved counts especially when you are just getting started. Either way we spent over 1k in supplies and equipment and when we presented the tax exempt card we were told they don’t accept it. We have never had a problem using said tax card in other states and even here in Texas at other retailers and restaurants until this one. Now had then been like 10-15 dollars in tax, fine cool whatever but this was nearly a hundred dollars in taxes. Now yes I can submit a form through the tax commission and get it refunded but the attitude and unprofessionalism from Tein was disgusting. On side note when my wife was inquiring about some of the equipment she was interested in, Tein’s attitude toward my wife seemed a bit snobby and significantly more snippy with my wife when I was not present. Even after my wife had said fine he continued to condescendingly speak to my wife with such disrespect and pig headedness that if this was done not in a place of business that he would of needed a pillow for the impending nap he would of been handed. Even the cashier was taken back by Tein’s behavior and mannerisms. After that he proceeded to say that if it was business account that he would have given tax exempt but because it was a veterans card he would not accept it. Tein left and then came back for a third time and said they don’t accept any tax exempt card from other states which makes no sense because had I had my business license it would of been from New Mexico. So how would that have worked?

Its funny how so many business resort back to saying their employees are service member but yet you show so little respect to others. Find it hard to believe that a business with so many active service members would show another prior service member such rude and disrespectful behavior. Not to mention accept a tax card from another. You recite tax code for the state and that you have to abide by it. That is a bit weird seeing as how the longhorn steakhouse my family and I ate that night, the motorcycle shop we were at the following day and the hotel we stayed for that weekend along with a few other places we made purchases at, had no problem with. Furthermore we have used this tax card in many other states, even those whom don't offer that status to disabled vets but after a brief explanation from myself or my wife, the place of business is happy to accept it. I guess they are just a bit more proud of the service members of this country then you are? In addition the tax card was not transferred as i have two, one for myself and one for my wife to use as well, which was issued by the state. So you didn't need me at the POS in order for it to be valid. Your explaining of the tax code which you spent more time researching then that of practicing the American concept of the customer being right, wasn't the problem, it was the manner in which you spoke to my wife. Again it seems you have so much so called respect for veterans or just customers through replying to a review, but at POS and or in person you talked down to and show very little respect especially to women.
I will love to see how many vets you turn away when Texas adopts the same exempt status as...
Read moreI’ll start by saying it was a huge turn off to be stopped at the entrance and be told to put my really expensive small bag in a locker at the entrance that doesn’t seem trustworthy as well as making me carry a huge tacky key with 20 nail swatches hanging from it. Extremely odd & uncomfortable to say the least. Never seen anything like it in NYC, southside of Chicago, Miami, Atlanta… you get the idea. The upside was the store was clean, well organized. They had had a lot of variety; not to mention 100’s of cameras at every turn so not sure why they don’t let women with small purses keep them and treat everyone like a suspected shoplifter as soon as you enter. Makes the place look so low end and tacky. Just have better security and don’t allow big bags. As a longtime multiple business owner and someone who shops all over the world, it’s such a turn off to tell ladies to put their expensive designer bags in a locker like a low end business. I don’t think i’ll return or recommend them to any of my clients due to the lack of high end customer service. My clients would turn around and leave. Not sure what neighborhood you think you’ve opened in but as a 23 year resident, I find it highly insulting. I’ve shopped at so many nail suppliers for decades and not one makes you feel uncomfortable as soon as you step into the store. They also make you scan their QR code and stand their filling out your personal info before checking out, while having a horrible signal so it took forever to check out. I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re selling your number to third party companies as well, hence being adamant about it. I had a long list of 100’s of supplies & colors I needed for my businesses but was so turned off that I bought 2 colors so that I could leave and go to my normal store. I blame my influencer daughter for suggesting this place based...
Read moreDisclaimer: This store does have a bag/purse policy. They have lockers at the front of the store where you lock up your purse/bag with a key and keep the key in your possession while shopping. I have never been to a store that done that, but considering how bad theft has been with at a lot of retail stores I get it. I just wanted to warn those reading my review in advance, so that no one is caught off guard or worse thinks they are being discriminated against.
First off, this is the biggest nail supply store that I have visited in person. I’ve been to Nail Supply Glamour and Bella V Nail Supply on Harry Hines and both of them could fit inside of Nail Plus Nail Supply! Every brand that you can think of that is used by nail techs and nail hobbyist they have. I do my own nails, but I was very excited to see brands like Color Club and Cuccio which were reminiscent of when I used to go to the nail salon to get my nails done. You name it they have it. The staff there is also very friendly and helpful. I was delighted to find out that they are literally only 15 minutes away from me, because I was going all the way out to Harry Hines which is much further out. Hopefully, my photos do them justice for what all they have. Don’t go there with a budget in mind, because you will forget all about it once you start walking down the aisles with your basket. I went in with the intent of not spending much money and ended up spending $100 and again I’m a nail hobbyist not a nail tech! It’s also worth noting that you may want to create an account on their website before you go, because I think that’s the only way you can purchase there. I was having issues creating my account for some reason, but I figured it out once I got home on...
