My mom has been bringing me here for brunch for a decade now and I’ve never been able to eat at another pho restaurant since. Despite moving out of the Richardson area a long time ago, going to college out of state, and an endless stream of alternative options we always come back here. Here’s why:
*Amazing Consistency; You can come in any time of any day and receive the exact same bowl of pho and I mean that in the most amazing way possible. You will never wonder if someone different is making it today, tomorrow, or the day after. That’s not to say the recipe has never changed in all these years- but every change that has been made has been an improvement on an already amazing classic.
*Stellar Quality Ingredients; I’ve eaten a LOT of pho but where most places fall short for me is they either have a good broth and okay quality of meat or vice versa. Pho Pasteur is the only one that delivers the best of both EVERY SINGLE TIME. A phenomenal pho w/ great flavor and excellent quality. I talk specifically about the pho bc that’s my favorite. Their other meals are just as good and just as consistent as well as all their drinks and desserts! You can never lose mixing it up a little.
*A+ Service; The service is fast, the food is always hot. One of the owners is usually around and they’re always friendly! Owners are a super outgoing family who will remember you! They play a very active role in their restaurant behind the counter, in the kitchen, and at the table. All the other locations measure up to this one (they’re all managed by the family). It can get loud on a busy day but never uncomfortable.
Overall, it’s a great place to bring family and friends for a meal, to catch up, to have some personal time, to have conversations.
Tl;dr - 10/5 ⭐️. Food’s so good this is the only place on earth my mom won’t start an argument. Choose...
Read moreThe service was horrible ordered a appetizer while we waited on our 3rd guest to arrive along with our drinks, by the time our 3rd guest arrived we still hadn't received our spring rolls but went ahead and ordered at this point 30 minutes had already passed and our pho had arrived so i asked our waitress about it which she gave a attitude and told us "ill bring them out when theyre ready" again this was the first thing we ordered how long could a order of spring rolls take... we were almost done with our pho when finally our spring rolls had arrived at this point i no longer wanted them because again this was supposed to be our appetizer but i didn't make a fuzz about it and just let it be we had to constantly call our waitress over for refills and extra things we needed because they were not attentive to us, we finished eating and walked up to pay i then asked for a to go box and cup and the young waitress along with the younger looking kid looked at each other and rolled their eyes and acted as if i was asking them for free food i decided since this was my 2nd time having a experience like this here i am no longer gonna come as they dont know how to treat their customers unless u speak their language because it seemed to have been targeted. If u dont like your job or care for custo service maybe dont do waitressing because we were polite the whole time even after the treatment...
Read moreThis has got to be the most saltiest Com Ga Roti I've ever eaten. They don't even have a special sauce for dipping or even the standard Nuoc mam gung (ginger dish sauce) that usually comes with this dish. Instead, They give you soy sauce! Are they lazy? Do they even know how to pair sauces? Even the red rice that came with it was over cooked, hard and felt like tic tacs! I was definitely disappointed in the dish. I even mentioned it to the front and the lady and server laughed. Smh. I was trying to give them honest feedback. They honestly need to re-evaluate their menu and just learn to either redo or remove this particular dish entirely from it. Needless to say, I will definitely never return here. It just made me sad that they half stepped one of my favorite dishes. They need to add a sauce other than soy sauce. Way too salty. Rice over cooked, and chicken was dry. You can say, I...
