I’m the resident in northside 13. Around 11:00 AM, I got into the elevator on the 1st floor and went up to the 2nd floor. Everything seemed normal until the doors closed on the 2nd floor—then the elevator suddenly DROPPED for about two seconds before it slammed to an emergency stop. I hit the alarm button inside the elevator and got no response. I was stuck inside for a few seconds, then the elevator started moving up and finally stopped at my floor (4th floor). When I got out, I pressed the emergency call button outside the elevator, and again—NO response from anyone. This is completely unacceptable and extremely dangerous. If someone was injured or panicked, this could have been a disaster.

Read moreI visited Northside for my Lease renewal. I love the place and the ambiance. This community is good place to live in for a UTD student. They have 3 gym, multiple study rooms and swimming pool all the facilities are clean. Its 10 mins walk from UTD so very good for undergraduate and grad students. Overall nice place to live in. I went here for my lease renewal and Ms. Hibah explained the process very well and answered all of my questions. She also helped me with my existing lease modification process and explained everything in a simpler way. The staff is also good. The maintenance request also gets completed within a day. It’s like a pressured water hose and leaves bruises. Then there was a fire ant infestation. And now today I am locked out of resident portal and no matter what I do can’t get in.
