I have been to this restaurant so many times over the past couple of years - they practically know what I order because I usually get the same thing every time. The food is really great but today's customer service experience had me rethinking coming back. I walked in at around 8:15 PM and there was one employee at the front processing Doordash orders. He did not acknowledge me as I walked in so I lingered around for a couple of minutes. Later another employee walks out of the kitchen with her mask on her chin and with arms flailed out, she rudely addressed me and told me that they were closed for tonight and that they were not taking any more orders. I asked her why even though I had come in 45 min before closing time, and she offered no explanation. I left the restaurant and sat in my car trying to plan where to order my meal. I noticed, minutes later, that more people were streaming into the restaurant and getting served leaving with food. So I walk back in and the same lady who had talked to me immediately recognized me and told that they were taking orders again. She also explained that they were swamped by the amount of online orders coming through and that they are understaffed. I calmly told her that I understand the situation but she needed to communicate better. And she also was not wearing her mask. Management needs to realize that this particular location (being that it is close to campus) can get very overwhelmingly busy and that they need to hire and retain more employees . I understand her frustration but I think it could have been handled better. Happy employees with better pay translates to better...
Read moreUpdate: been visiting this place on a regular basis for the past year and never been disappointed with the quality of food or how pleasant the service is. And I love all the new products that have been added over the months - lamb chops, lentil soup, Mediterranean salad, etc.
Two minutes in the establishment and it was clear I was faced with a situation of, so many attractive eats - where do I start? I decided to basically go the route of try-one-of-everything (my family and I hadn't eaten all day). Chicken and rice, Kofta and rice, fried eggplant, mix salad, roasted red potatoes, falafel, white sauce, hot sauce, sauted onions and mushrooms, mango cheesecake, caramel cheesecake - my family and I tried it all and we found everything to be AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS.
Very high quality meat and everything really. Perfect portions to fill you up, not stuff you. Falafel, chicken w/rice, and white sauce were truly the best I ever had anywhere on the globe.
Customer service consisted of friendly smiles and polite help. Decor very nice and modern - a tasteful tribute to New York City.
So glad I found this restaurant, definitely gonna be a...
Read moreI recently visited Chopped Halal Grill, a quick-service restaurant, and was impressed with both the speed and quality of my experience. I ordered the chicken bowl with rice, rice pudding, and an onion samosa, and everything exceeded my expectations.
The service was fast and efficient—perfect for a quick meal without compromising on taste. The chicken bowl with rice was flavorful, with tender chicken, well-seasoned rice, and a variety of fresh toppings. The creamy hummus and pickled vegetables added great texture and taste, making it a delightful bowl that was both filling and delicious.
The onion samosa had a perfectly crispy crust and a savory, well-seasoned filling, providing a great side dish that complemented the main meal. The rice pudding was the ideal way to end the meal—smooth, creamy, and with just the right amount of sweetness.
The restaurant was clean and inviting, and the staff was friendly, making it an enjoyable experience from start to finish. If you're looking for a quick-service spot with quality halal food, Chopped Halal Grill is definitely...
