Looked forward with anticipation to see the new Beetlejuice Movie. Purchased tickets online. That was fine. Seats and temperature are comfortable. The previews prior to the movie were 28 minutes! I am not sure if this is set by the theater. I was happy for the first ten minutes of previews. At fifteen minutes, I was checking my watch every few minutes when a Coke ad came in at 25 minutes after advising us to go buy drinks at the concession stand I was grumpy. So when the movie started I was not in a good frame of mind. I settled into the story and a few minutes into the film, we felt a rumbling and heard a swooshing sound of high wind. Thinking that perhaps this was setting the mood for a storm that might be happening, I thought, ok, surround sound. But then the movie showed the outside of the home: no storm. The noise was coming from the theater next door! We were in theater 3 and theater 2 must have had some pretty noisy movie going on. The bathroom was clean and ♿️ accessible as well as the theater. There is a decent sized parking lot behind. Hower, many people that do have mobility issues do not use wheelchairs and it might be a challenge for them to make the distance with a walker or cane assistive device. There was also spilled soda and popcorn containers left on the lobby benches which was rather puzzling as what the staff did not police the area. I have wonderful memories of this theater and will return and give it another opportunity.

So, I understand that they don't control ticket prices, but to pay 16.41 for a movie at 430 and then not have ice in 3 different soda machines, have the nachos taste like cardboard ($15.75) and be in a dirty theater-floors nasty, nor swept, restroom in need of cleaning-toilet paper all over the floor, no soap in the dispensers, all the papertowels fall out when you pull for 1 and the have the staff not care or try and rectify it promptly helps me make the decision to spend my money elsewhere. I plan to never come back to this theater even if someone else is paying. I just don't like it when the staff doesn't care, try and do anything about it or give a negative facial expression or body language when you ask them politely about something that you have paid for. I should be able to get a cold drink (again NO ICE) and the drink of my choice especially when I have paid $15.75 for it along with price of the movie ticket. I tried to get pictures of the restroom, but could not bring myself to go back in there based upon the state it was in when I first went into it.

Parking is in the back and you have to walk around the building to go inside but when you leave you can exit out the back near your car and the ticket person I think may have like hates their life their or something idk or maybe didn’t like us cause she kept giving us a dirty ass look it felt like but then was so friendly to the people next to us and getting them tickets and we did self check out so didn’t even have to bother her and went to walk away and had an attitude to come back so she could rip the ticket after not talking to us the whole time but giving us looks and waiting for us to start to walk off to ask the theater was nice though and the movie was really good! Seats were comfy and was a clean theater!

If I could give this theater negative 5 stars I absolutely would. My friend and I tried to go to the West Olive location but unfortunately the movie that we wanted to see was sold out. We decided to go to the Esquire. I was a little hesitant to go to the Esquire because from what I've seen the West Olive location is a lot nicer. However, we wanted to see the movie regardless. We purchased tickets online just in case the movie was going to be sold out. We ended up getting to the theater about 40 minutes early, the attendant scanned our bar code for the physical paper tickets. We purchased snacks and sat in our assigned seats for the remaining 30 minutes to wait for the show. About 15 minutes before the movie was the about to start 2 young ladies approached my friend and I and accused us of being in their seats. We showed them our ticket stubs and sure enough we have the exact same seats. We assumed that the theater had perhaps oversold tickets. They of course ran to the manager as well as another employee and accused us of stealing their seats. We showed everyone our tickets subs again and once again and verified that we were in the correct seats for the correct movie. One of the employees looked at the tickets again and said that the person gave us tickets for the wrong day. However it was the correct movie the correct seats and the correct time and that they would simply give us different seats. Which was confusing to me since the theater was completely sold out. So I don't know what they expected my friend and I to sit on the floor or what exactly. At this point I have a manager in front of me, an employee, and 2 of the girls that had purchase similar tickets. Data cited to cause a scene in humiliate me and my friend to the point where we decided to walk out in the hallway to speak with the manager. The manager rudely told me that it was not his fault and that he didn't know what we expected him to do. I told him that he needed to give me a refund immediately for humiliating me and my friend in the middle of a crowded theater and that we still needed to be seated elsewhere. He aggressively took my card from my hand, came back 5 minutes later, handed me back my card. Said " here's your refund" and stormed off. I have never been so humiliated and disrespected. The manager treated us as if we were thieves who try to sneak into the movie theater. I don't think I will ever patronize an AMC theater again after...

AMC staff sent us into the incorrect auditorium bc those of us that added the tickets to our wallets early had the original auditorium on them and apparently it was changed. However, the staff did not inform us of this and proceeded to send us into the original auditorium. 2 staff members watched 10 plus people in Taylor Swift merch walk into the auditorium and didn’t say a single thing about it being a different movie playing. We waited an hour just for the exorcist to start playing. When the group of people there for Taylor went to discuss this with the staff they simply said “oh well it’s in theater 3” and we’re very unhelpful. We then asked to speak with a manager at which point we were told it was not her staffs fault we were in the wrong theater (even though it very much was). She proceeded to offer ticket vouchers to a different show (mind you, most of these shows are sold out). I had a family member in town from 4 hours away who had to leave the next morning so we weren’t going to be able to make another show work. When asked to be refunded, the staff refused because they stated “Taylor tickets are non refundable” which we were aware of, but when your staff makes an error that large you should make an exception for the customers you screwed over. Another customer asked what else could be done to get a refund and the manger simply said “you can call corporate.” Then when asked how to contact corporate we were told “it’s online.” This is unacceptable and extremely unprofessional. Not only that, but this is the second time something absurd like this has happened to me at this AMC location. I sincerely hope that the staff working at this location changes the way they speak to customers as well as how they handle customer concerns. Until then, I’m sorry to say that they’ve lost...

UPDATE 5/17/25 Me and the hubby got tickets for the last showing to Final Destination: Bloodline which started at 10:40pm...we got there at 10:20ish and got some popcorn then we literally stood in the lobby because entering our designated theater was restricted til 10:38pm and the damn previews were playing already 🤦🏽‍♀️(that's my favorite part of the movies lolbvs)

UPDATE Been a minute and this is probably the last time because the bathrooms are still disgusting!! Went to see Evil Dead Rise at 10:15PM and it was playing upstairs, but it seems they neglected this section lolbvs...popcorn was still in my seat and make sure you take a blanket bc the air was blasting which made the whole experience uncomfortable! We did order some chicken tenders and they were fresh out the fryer & flavorful; we're stubs members, so free upgraded popcorn & drink, but again that area was filthy also-we didn't even want refills because of this...and the bar seems to never be open 🤦🏾‍♀️

Since the makeover here, the over all establishment is more comfortable than back in the day. I went to see Terminator:Dark Fate 11/1/19 at 4pm and it wasn't packed at all, but the women's bathroom said different! Majority of the stalls had urine in or on the toilet, no tissue and overflowing trash- before I left, I walked up to 3employess one of which had on a different colored shirt than the others, so I assumed he was a lead. I explained I missed a nice part of my movie because I had to wait for someone to come in and hand me tissue! I also said the bathroom is really dirty and ask for him to have someone clean it-i had a few cocktails, so I used it again and the bathroom was even dirtier!!!! All I'm gonna say is if you plan to come here, make sure you use the restroom before you...
