There is a sign on the restroom door that says the restrooms are open from 9 am to 8 pm weather permitting. I arrived at 9:10 and the restroom wasn't unlocked. It was 48 out at 9:17.
I called the city building and was told the building to my left was the park building and they may let me use their restroom.
When I arrived I was told someone was coming and that they received the call. As nobody had arrived swifly, I went back to the window at 9:22. I asked if I could use their restroom. I was told no due to COVID. But they said someone was on their way.
I called the city building back at 9:23 complain. The individual who answered was uninterested in allowing me to file a complaint. She stated that they didn't know which restrooms they started with. I asked if they told them I was at the ones at the playground. They said they did.
Someone came looking annoyed and taking their precious time around 9:25. I told her I would just do a Google review since they didn't want to take my complaint and basically make excuses.
The park itself is very nice. I've come several times over rthe course of my 30 plus years of life. I've enjoyed walking and swinging on the swings the past three days. But the customer service and following the signs posted by the park were...
Read moreGreat place to walk, walk your dogs, it just get some sun. Also, there are 3 golf greens that are still kept up from the old course. They are perfect to practice your pitching and chipping. Also, there's a driving range that you can hit onto and then go out and shag your balls. Included pluses of the old course includes a green with surrounding Bunker's and a practice green to putt on. Also, the park has a natural spring where locals bottle water, tennis courts are also available. Along with a new play zone for children. In addition to the play zone, there's a water play land that's perfect for your kids and you to enjoy during the hot summer months. I practice my short game almost 3 days a week at Glen Miller. During summer break for your kids, Bo Van Pelt has put the old course to good use, being the home of The First Tee, a golf program designed by the PGA to help build the game in children. Giving them a safe and fun refuge to learn the fundamentals and rules of one of the oldest games played today! With Bo's instruction, these kids are taught the correct ways to play golf. From the swing to golf etiquette, he is there to help kids have fun playing a game they can play the rest if...
Read moreA beautiful park in Richmond, Indiana! Several large play areas with modern playground equipment, with plenty of benches for parents to sit close by to watch their children comfortably. There are public restrooms that are reasonably clean. There is a skate park, located in one corner of the park that has been spray painted with graffiti that actually looks very artsy and very appropriate for a skate park. Towards the entrance of this park, there is a beautiful rose garden that can be observed when it’s in season. There are plenty of areas to be able to relax and picnic or to walk your dog. There is an amphitheater on the ground, which is an excellent area to just let your dog run. The little creek that runs through the park is very soothing and quite picturesque, complete with a fountain at the end of the pond. Very easily to observe several species of duck as well as...
