Richmond Parks and Recreation — Attraction in Richmond

Our 1st time visiting this park with our 2 small children. It was very welcoming with the scenic drive into the Park and looked safe. The playground area, although dated, has such a wide variety of equipment and very durable. We visited mainly for the splash pad as it was near 90° and most pools are closed due to school being in session. The splash pad concrete was not clean and had lots of scum & algea growing which caused a slick surface and or kids slipped a few times so we called it quits and used the playground area. I called the parks office to let them know of the status of the splash pad & my concern for other children. She addressed the issue and sent a crew to clean immediately. Within 5-10 minutes they showed up to power wash it. I appreciate their timeliness and their care for our parks & children that enjoy it! As I drove through I can't help to remember coming here moments all through out my life, memories upon memories.. Me and my dog we went to the park and he walked around and just he and I together just to get out of the house and he enjoyed walking up I tried to get him to get into the creek and he didn't want to of course so anyhow he went up through a path and discovered that it was the golf course and didn't want to come back down however I had to make him come back down try to get him to get a drink through the creek and he didn't want to do that even so anyhow we just kept walking around but it was nice to see the statue and how clean it was and nice and people were enjoying the statue that was there a lot of people is out getting water in their...
