Pizza King — Restaurant in Richmond

well unfortunately the first review i have ever had to write is a bad one i always would see people write these bad reviews and think it couldn't have been that bad that they have to take time out or there day just don't go back and never thought something could be that awful that you would have to worn people this was un till i had pizza king first when sitting down all the tables where dirty but i figured it was just busy so i ignored it the waitress was mad that i ask if she would get my drinks she said call it in and walked away i did the person on the phone said is all your having drinks i said no i havnt had time to look over the menu and said well you should order drinks when you place your order and hung up then i had a couple questions about the menu so i called the man that answered this time said sir everything on the menu has a deception i said well i was just wandering if i could get lettuce and onion and mushrooms on my burger he said you can get what ever you want as far as toppings no extra charge i said ok so i ordered my food my mother and grandmother orderd a pizza so the waitress was bringing our drinks and set them on a table to go help carry food 15 min had passed and the ice had melted so much that there was a layer of water on top of the glasses when we ask if we could get fresh drinks she said sir i just made these when i said no they have been sitting she rolled here eyes and grabbed the drinks so fast she spelt one and it got on my son i was pis*ed at this point so after a 30 min wait the food was cold when it was brought out my burger had one mushroom on it and the frys where cold so at this point i was so mad but like i said i don't complain i just dont go back but i was about to and i ask to see the manager 3 times not one time after the food did i see any one no refill no asking if we needed ketchup or anything for the pizza witch we did need and then they brought us the check still no manager at this time we had finished and looked at my bill they had charged me 60 cents for one mushroom so i ask once again for the manager when he came out was the rudest ive ever seen any one he said look if your just trying to get something free we dont want you at are store and not once did i complane till i had told him what our experience was like i told him about my burger he said its 60 cents is it really that big of a deal i said no but the guy on the phone told me i could get any topping and it was no charge if you would have put more on i wouldn't have made a big deal and he said well ill take it off this time and walked away i have had waitresses be rude befor and always left a tip i did not this time cause of the fact i never saw her and did not leave a tip so when i went to pay my family was in the car the waitress walked up to another employe and said as loud as she could i guess people don't believe in tipping any more so peas heed my warning and do not put your self thru this nightmare of...

When I was little some 55 years ago the big treat was Friday night, Pizza King and the Wild Wild West. Now that I'm older, slightly wider, and sensible about the ways of the world I can only say that this is pizza as it should be. Round, thin crust, cut in squares. You see I didn't appreciate that a round pizza cut in squares gives it better flavor. This should be obvious to any connoisseur. If if one who claims to know Pizza does not realize this you should avoid them with great disdain as if they had no more sense then a submarine with screen doors. Additionally my servers at the Main Street Henley Road location were terrific. I sent pictures to my family in Florida who were extremely jealous, and did not wish me good tidings for the receipt of said pictures. In fact quite the opposite. This is a shameful attitude in our family and I didn't want to air it here; however it will be dealt with in due course. Time was short and I did not get to see Clara's on Northwest 5th. I hope soon I'll return from Detroit to correct this...

Ordered Pizza king every Friday for 30+ years. Unfortunately it’s not what it used to be.

The past few years between 25-30% of the time that I order delivery( including last week on 12/22) see pics.. , the pizza arrives with half the pieces having a thin, hallowed out & bubbled up crust. I don’t know what causes this..I would assume it has something to do with temp & humidity? In any case, I can’t be the only one having this problem for several years now.. case in point, Not worth what you pay for…plus I ordered full bake breadsticks and half the time they are pure dough that I have to end up baking myself.

the food is very good if you get it fresh and done right. obviously has potential to be great still. I hate complaining about it and frankly don’t bother to call & complain.

My suggestion is to go to the actual restaurant if you want top quality because I’ve never had a bad pizza when eating inside…they obviously just don’t give priority to the delivery orders going out, and I understand they get very busy on...
